Arizona woke up at six, Dayle woke up at seven, Misa woke up at eight, and Noella woke up at nine. Larkin was still asleep when Noella woke to find some clothes. She was still in only her underwear from her night with Larkin. She told him not to go any further because she didn't want to. And because they didn't have any form of birth control, so there would be a problem.
Arizona announced they'd be leaving at noon, but her plans were changed. At around nine thirty, cops arrived at the door. But, fortunately enough, Noella had made plans with Exie and Jet, should this ever happen.
Noella entered their room quietly as possible and told them they would have to stall. They knew exactly what to do.
They didn't wake up Larkin; they didn't have the time and they knew he'd make noise. Arizona, Noella and Dayle hoisted him over their shoulders and dragged him to the Hummer which, conveniently, was parked away from the cabin without the police seeing. Misa went back to bring The Book, their guns, food and beer for Larkin.
Jet was still in his boxers and Exie was still in her underwear. That was just as well; it made their story more convincing.
"We're sorry to bother, but have you seen these people?" the officer said to Jet as he opened the door, showing him photos of Arizona and Larkin.
"No, sorry, officer," he said.
"And these?" The officer showed him a picture of Misa and Dayle.
"No, not them either."
Exie walked out of the room. "Jack?"she called, using their aliases. "Is everything alright?" She looked at the officer as if she just noticed him. "Oh," she gasped.
"Everything's fine, Ari," Jet said.
The officer looked from Exie to Jet and back. "May I ask what you two are doing out here?"
Jet shrugged and said, "We're just taking a weekend off. We're going back to the university tomorrow afternoon." Thank God it's a Saturday, he thought.
"Just you two?" the officer asked.
"No, our other friend went out to get some stuff."
"Can I see some ID?"
"Well, you see, officer," Jet explained. "We left ours back at the college; we didn't see any need to bring them."
The officer looked at him blankly. "Well, I'll have to take your names."
"Alright. Jack Drayton, Arabella Summers and Honora Larsen."
"Thank you. Have a good weekend," he added weakly.
Two boys and a girl sat at a diner somewhere on the outskirts of some town.
The first boy moved their fries out of the way and put a big plaque on the table. "So, what the hell do we do about this shit?"
"What does it say again?" the girl asked.
"Uh...Our father who art in Heaven, something, be thy -- uh, does that say name?--thy...kingdom come. Blah, blah. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive our trespasses as we forgive...others who trespass, something, and something, not lead us into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen. Oh, fuck this."
"Well, I say we just move around with it, and if anyone claims it or claims we stole it, we just tell them that we found it for them and claim the reward," the second boy suggested.
"Makes sense," the girl said pointing at him with a ketchup tipped French fry. She nibbled on it a bit, and then said, "But who would want this?"
"Well, we don't have a better plan, so this'll have to do."
"Fine," the first boy said so loud that what few diners there were looked at him oddly. Having a huge plaque on the table didn't help. "Let's go. Now."
They picked up their things and the plaque and headed for the doors.
The girl went back for the rest of the fries then followed the two boys.
