Izzy’s POV:

Black dots blurred my vision as I immediately sat up on my bed. The loud music from last night was still ringing in my ears. The bright light of the sun intensely blinded my vision, causing my head to hurt more. I lazily slumped back on my bed, gently rubbing my temples. My head was throbbing like hell.

Thanks a lot mom, for partying with all your crazy friends last night.

I allowed my head to linger on my soft pillow for a minute, before the door abruptly flew open.

“Mom” I complained.

Thick strands of her long auburn hair nonchalantly fell on her face.

She was clearly dishevelled; she was still wearing her shimmering red party dress and her lipstick was smudged on her pink lips. Her eyes were bloodshot red and the black bags beneath her warm honey-gold eyes were visible.

“Go wash up mom,” I said, tossing her a clean towel. She took it without hesitating before entering the bathroom. In the meantime, I fished through her closet, looking for some clean pyjamas and made her bed. She finally came out with the towel wrapped around her.

“Go to sleep mom,” I said and kissed her wet cheek before I left.

I went back to my bedroom and looked at the mirror. The girl that was staring back at me looked like she came from a catfight; I was still in the same clothes I was wearing yesterday. I was probably too tired to notice. My eyeliner was encrusted all over my eyes which made me look like a panda. I headed to the bathroom and quickly took a cold shower, getting rid of the remains of the makeup from the previous day. I grabbed a simple tank top and jeans and made my way to the living room. A mixture of anger and annoyance bubbled inside me as I surveyed the chaotic room; the coffee table was turned upside down and small pieces of food was scattered all over the carpet. Beer bottles were lying all around the room and music CD’s were strewn next to the CD player. I helplessly sank to the floor. A pillow sat on my right and without a second thought, I buried my face into to it and screamed as loud as I could. My phone started to ring, snapping me back to reality. I threw the small pillow and roughly snatched the phone that was on the sofa.

“Hello,” I snapped, I was so not in the mood of talking right now.

Hey girl,” an enthusiastic voice beamed. Ofcourse that high-pitched voice could be recognised anywhere.

“Hey Jade,” I said carelessly.

“What’s wrong?”  She asked, sounding concerned on the other side of the phone.

“Nothing, I’m just tired and not in the mood of doing anything,” I said.

“Hmm, You need some girl talk,” she said.

“No, you don’t_”

“Shut up. See you in a few,” she said before the line went dead.

God! That girl was so stubborn. Instantly, memories of Liam from yesterday flooded through my mind. The way he acted was so…different. I mean, even after being rebellious and mean to him, he was so nice. Then an image of him hugging me flashed in my mind. I could already feel blood rushing to my cheeks. I immediately felt a lump in my throat. When he told me about his mother, it was totally unexpected. I thought he had everything; the looks, the money and the popularity. Well, I guess I judged him without knowing him first.
