We had all made it out sure we were cut bumped and bruised but we saved the world it's the best feeling in the world. We did all get Shawarma it was ok but disappointing It had been about 3 weeks now we had all healed up some faster than most i had got Steves old bike flown in he couldn't believe I kept it safe I sat in mine and Steve's apartment on the couch watching various news reports tony had set JARVIS up in this apartment but me and Steve had discussed and agreed we were not staying in New York long I promised him I would let him see peggy so Washington D.C. Was our next stop today Thor was taking Loki back to Asgard to answer to his people but while the day was young I relaxed watching the various news coverage "despite the devastation of which has been confirmed as a extra terrestrial attack the extraordinary heroics of the group known as the avengers has been cause for comfort and celebration" the news anchor speaks on other small screens showed a man getting his beard cut like Tonys a girl screaming how she loves Thor a little boy talking about the aliens a man getting a tattoo of Steve shield on him people cleaning up celebrations one screen caught my eye on the screen showed Jonah and Ella with there aunt who has taken them in Ill be doing a full back ground check on her despite me saving many people that day Jonah and Ella stood out I had grown attached they looked happier now I smiled the public talking about the events senators and politicians discussing the attacks some non believers some artist spray painting the avengers on walls a guy says "miss america was hot she looked incredible in her uniform she can call me any time"I rolled my eyes at that people calling hulk a hero some blaming us from the destruction and near desolation of New York City guess you cant win them all over.
I turned the screens off as Steve enters I smile up at him honestly things were good mine and Steve friendship has never been stronger I grabbed a jacket as me and Steve walked down stairs tony honked at me in his sports car I smile "meet you there"I smile to Steve he nods getting on his bike while I got in the car with tony heading to Central Park.
Once there we go to the specially closed off area people crowding waiting to get a look at the avengers Loki was in chains with a muzzle on while Thor walked him to the centre of the closed area tony grabbed the tesseract in the case that surprisingly fury had given up to Thor to take back to Asgard. I jumped out the car following Steve walking over from his bike while Natasha clint and Bruce came from a S.H.I.E.L.D car selvig in there two we put the tesseract into a glass casing with handles both sides. Thor shakes hands with all of us I gave him a hug feeling extra touchy today then together Loki and Thor shoot up back to Asgard i walked over to Bruce and gave him a hug "stay you Bruce"I laugh he smiles I walk over to Natasha "we will probably see each other sooner rather than later"I smile she smiles "cause Steve took the job at S.H.I.E.L.D"she asks I nod Steve had confronted me and said he wants to and not cause peggy helped founder it but cause that way he can keep a eye on it me on the other I wanted no part of it maybe I would join cap on a few missions but trust is earned and S.H.I.E.L.D is yet to earn it I high five clint "see you soon hawk"I smile he returns it finally I get to tony "so you know when your going D.C."he asks "yeah we leave at the end of the week"I sigh "you know I don't have to go if you need me around"I'm cut of by tony "Gracie you have been around for me my whole life I know you wanna be with spangles"he says I glare "Steve you wanna be near Steve cause he is your best friend you deserve to be happy Steve makes you just that so go but call me still"he finishes I give him a huge hug "and you to anytime you need me"I sigh he nods I kiss his cheek before we all split off. Bruce taking my place in Tonys car Natasha and clint with selvig in the S.H.I.E.L.D car while Steve gives me a lift. he sits on his bike I wrap my arms round him and with that we all split of not knowing for sure when we will meet together again. As the wind rushes in my hair I smile things are better the best they have been in a long time Steve quickly looks back at me a smile hugging him closer resting my cheek on his back.
