It was about 4 in the after noon here in D.C. It has been nearly 7 months since New York me and Steve live in a two bedroom apartment now Steve was ecstatic living here while he was off at the S.H.I.E.L.D hive here in D.C. I stayed here or went shopping,worked out I showed steve to peggy I explained about the fact half the time he would have to sit there and repeat the same discussion over and over he understood so he continued to talk to her about his lack of ageing other than that president Matthew Ellis decided building an exhibition about me and Steve all inclusive life stories it was a good 'welcome back cap' in all honesty it made me wanna punch him in the face cause of his ignorance why build a whole building dedicated to bad reminders I had only visited it once with steve when it first opened 4 months back.
Flashback 4 months ago:
Me and Steve had been told about the exhibition and the day before official opening to the public we were allowed to go have our own private look we entered the space posters of Steve lay on the walls me by his side in the middle a long dummy missile above that a jet from the world war 2 era a sign on a board saying 'welcome back cap' with a audio of the president making a speech about what a hero Steve is I scoffed at that.
We walked in further on the wall was the picture I had given peggy back in 1945 of Steve before he got the serum above it it said:
Weight: 95 lbs
Hight: 5'4
I smile at the memory of when I was taller than Steve he gave me a small smile in return under it had a picture of Steve After the serum saying:
Weight: 240 lbs
Hight: 6'2
Now he is taller than me I smile and sigh "denied enlistment due to poor health Steve Rogers was chosen for a unique program a program that had been developed by one of his 2 life long friends Gracie hart who today has the serum to running through her blood and is known as miss america"a audio explains "this program transformed him in to the worlds first super soldier"it went on there was a board next to it with a picture of me before the serum with my weight and height and a picture of me after same details there was 4 boards planted next to the information board one of a life size shape out of Steve and me before serum and another of me and Steve after so people could see how tall they would be standing next to us In person before and after.
Steve grabbed my hand squeezing it for support as we continued in silence there was a stage and on it was a replicated version of Steve's bike behind it playing clips of Steve in action back in the war his old uniform along with my old uniform a replicated version of buckys and the other main stream team of soldiers the howling commandos stood on manikins in display "captain america, Gracie hart and the howling commandos earned there stripes there mission taking down hydra the nazi rouge science devision"the audio continued more behind the uniforms was a picture of who it belonged to one of the pictures being Bucky it made me wince knowing the last I saw of him or his suit was when he fell I grip Steve's hand tighter as we came to a board dedicated to Bucky a huge picture of him to show under it said 1917-1944 "best friends since childhood Bucky barnes, Gracie hart and Steven rogers were inseparable in both school yard and battle field Gracie who went on to be first female and last to become a super soldier. barnes and hart began a romantic relationship at age 10 the pair went on to do great, hart became one of the bigger names in science back in 1943 with her help in creating the super soldier while Bucky went on to be a howling commando the pair had gotten engaged just the night before he was shipped to England she and rogers alone took charge and went in no aid to rescue barnes while he and many other american soldiers were held hostage the couple had planned a wedding soon after the rescue sadly just a week before the date set barnes become one of the only howling commandos to give his life in service of his country"the audio said I began to try control my breathing Steve saw right through it pulling me closer to him on a small board was a small clip of me Steve and Bucky it showed us trying it get our picture taken but Steve and Bucky said something that made me laugh. In the clip Steve had his old uniform on while I had mine Bucky had a normal top on Steve taller than us stood back behind us Bucky just in front arms wrapped round my waist he leaned in whispering something in my ear although it was in black and white I knew I was blushing at his words giggling despite the lack of audio the Gracie from the clip laughed playfully leaning forward out of reach from buckys kiss slapping his hand while he tried catch my lips finally succeeding Steve laughing at our childishness I smile at it although I don't remember what he said to make he laugh and blush knowing Bucky it was something inappropriate Steve gave me a sad smile as I looked up at him we walked on seeing a tape with audio and colour early stages of it the tape showed peggy discussing the rescue mission and Steves death I hug him closer
