Me and Shawn watched as Cory walked towards the vending machine and bought a candy bar, Mr. Feeny lecturing him on how that candy bar would do his body no good.

"Look who's talking," I muttered quietly to Shawn who sniggered at my comment. "I highly doubt that that's green tea in his coffee cup."

Moments later, Cory came back to the table with a sour look on his face, Shawn opening his book and smiling, "He's a teacher man, he's gonna make your whole sixth grade year miserable."

"It's sad, but true Cory. And it's worse for you since he seems to target you the most," I explained to broccoli head. He hates that nickname, but like the best friend that I am, I don't stop.

"I'm gonna be miserable anyhow, at least this way I'm taking him with me," Cory responded with a grin. I shook my head while thinking 'boys', and continued to poke at my history book as if it was some sort of goo.

Looking up from his book--which I'm pretty sure he wasn't reading--Shawn furrowed his brows in confusion at something behind me, making my body shift so that I could turn around.

"Hey, who's that?" Shawn asked, cocking his head towards a blonde woman talking to Mr. Feeny.

"I think she's new, I've never seen her before," I responded while diverting my attention from the two teachers and looking back at Shawn and Cory.

"She must be new, she's talking to Feeny," said Shawn with a slight chuckle. What he's saying isn't a lie. If you don't know that staring a conversation with Feeny is both boring and a bad idea, then you're new. Me and Cory nodded our heads in agreement and began to look down at the worn out table again, except Cory was now munching on a candy bar.

"Ok, so how late did you two stay up last night?" I questioned, looking from Cory to Shawn and vise-versa.

"Monologue," replied Cory with a prideful grin on his face. I turned to Shawn who discreetly winked at me, but then acted like he didn't do anything.

"Monologue: First Guest," a smile tugged at my lips, finally coming out after a couple more seconds. Cory looked down a little, knowing that I had just one-upped him in this, but continued to grin.

"Monologue: First Guest, Bad Sketch," said Shawn cockily.

"Monologue: First Guest, Bad Sketch, Funny Zoo Animal," Cory said.

"Monologue: First Guest, Bad Sketch, Funny Zoo Animal, Steve Lawrence," I told them. Cory looked at me in awe, his eyes wide open.

       "Whoa!"

"Steve Lawrence!" Said the two boys in admiration.

Shawn stood up and sat down next to me, swinging his arm around my neck, "That's my girl. One-Upping me and Cory like always."

Cory looked at the two of us, utterly disgusted due to the fact that Shawn called me his girl. "Ugh! Get a room!"

The familiar sound if the bell ringing made the three of us glance up, grabbing all of our belongings and getting off our chairs.

Shawn leaned across the table to get his book and backpack as the cafeteria emptied itself, "And there's the bell."

Cory pulled his backpack on and looked at me and Shawn, "Four hours 'till lunch."
