Without thinking, my mouth ran ahead of my brain, "W-what do you have in mind, K-kuroo?"

"That's my girl." A smirk graced upon his lips as he purred.

Curse this! Curse me and my big mouth! Once again, I have fallen into Kuroo's lure. I don't know what got over me but he seems to have complete control over my words and actions.

In a few days, even without being physically present, he has already seen through me, pierce through my soul, and know what runs through my head. He's known me to a point wherein he even had to tell me things about myself. Don't even get me started with the countless times he made me all flustered and ruffled for words.

Without a second later, he took me by the hand and pulled me out of the room in the hastiest manner. This caused me to unintentionally collide with his chest, allowing me to take in his scent.

Just then, like when Okaasan paid a visit, a flash of white clouded my eyes for a split second. A long lost memory revealed itself before me whilst I had been dragged out of my house and into the open. I was clasped in Kuroo's strong grip.

---

"What on earth is that?" My fifteen year old self questioned a high schooler Kuroo as he took out a red bottle of Ralph Lauren perfume. We were in the volleyball club room as we waited for the Nekoma Captain to finish packing up his bag.

At the sound of my voice, a bleach blonde boy about a year younger than Kuroo turned to the bottle. His concentration was turned from his game console to the perfume and nodded in agreement, "Yeah, since when were you into those stuff?"

"I'm not." Kuroo grinned at the both of us as he uncapped the perfume. "Oba and her fiancée just visited Bordeaux and brought me back a couple bottles of these."

An uneasy look suddenly crossed Kuroo's face as he looked at the only two people in the club room. It was almost as if he was worried that we would judge him for wearing cologne. Honestly, we wouldn't mind... It just didn't seem like something carefree Kuroo would do.

His reaction enthralled me that I couldn't help but drink in the expression etched on his tan. This was one of the faces that Kuroo rarely shows. If anything, he had the constitutional confidence of the entire Japan.

"You won't mind me trying it out right? I was hoping to see if you'd actually approve of--"

"Go on and try it!" We caught him off guard as Kenma and I chorused in cutting him off.

Without a moment wasted, he sprayed on his wrist and took a whiff of its scent. Looking back at us, he smiled and nodded in approval. Kuroo took the bottle once more and pressed the nozzle about five more times to spread the perfume onto his body.

As the smell started to hit my nostrils, a smile stuck to my face. It was perfect for him. A bit of woodsy and mint were very noticeable in its fragrance. Kuroo and I locked eyes for a while as he noticed my reaction to the smell. His little onyx pupils bore on mine almost like he was searching for something.

As we continued our staring contest, thoughts came to mind. What did I see in this boy to become this fond of him?

In any way you look at it, he was ordinary. There was nothing overall special about him. He isn't as loud and rowdy as Yamamoto, nor as talented as Kōtarō. Nothing he does is eye catching at first glance. Yes, he's cunning, cheeky, and --mind you-- quite attractive... But apart from that, there was nothing superb about Kuroo that would immediately snatch your focus in a heartbeat.
