  "Trust and choice."

  "What?" I ask.

"This little devil of yours can choose in front of whom he would be visible or invisible," Jack says,"Reasonably, he would choose to be visible to trusted people and it was you, who makes him trust."

"Does this mean I have to trust people for them to see my demon?" I question, "I doubt Yitrus will ever see my demon!"

"I'm afraid you are wrong," Jack says,"It is the demon's choice. It uses mental control, tricking people to think there is nothing when this demon is there."

"However, it can allow Yitrus to see it when it trust him or when it wants," Jack warns, "Remember, demons are not robots, they have their lives to live. This is the demon's decision, not yours. You can't force it to."

-------------------------------------------------

It is dinner time. The bell sung its cheery song once again. The table is surrounded with familiar faces in the canteen. Instead of the usual random seatings, we sat in our teams. On my right seats the Thunder, on my left seats the Crusher.

It took me a while to process the new capability of Starubius in my mind. Now that I know that only chosen people can see Starubius, most people won't be able to see it unless if I ask it to. The existence of Starubius is a secret.

Ask it to. Starubius chooses the victims of his invisibility. I can only ask him to do so but can't force it if it doesn't want to. From the past experiences, Starubius has shown disapproval towards Yitrus. His impulsiveness towards seeing Starubius in the lab and the continuous nicknames he has been giving me turns the demon away from letting the boy see its form.

"Hey! It's Mr Demonless," Yitrus shouts. A familiar laugh erupts from his teammates. Yup, that's one of the creative nickname he has given me.

I force myself to keep my anger by biting my lips. Oh, how I loathe that guy. Despite my hatred towards the boy, I know that I have no means to start a fight with him.

"Don't you call our leader that!" A voice booms, my left ear picking up a higher volume than my right. It was Lucas. His eyes are trained on the blonde leader of Thunder.

"So what? Not like it untrue," Yitrus sneers, making his team chuckle. "Why not just bow down and admit defeat during the tournament instead of wasting your breath and faithless effort?" This set Lucas to a rage mode greater than I thought.

"You little," Lucas raises his arm in anger, ready to land a devastating punch on Yitrus skull.

The tension in the air changes immediately. No one knows what to do. One bad move and it might change the atmosphere of the whole class. It might end up with a bad impression left between the two or having Lucas expelled and Yitrus ending up with a possible broken skull. Everyone holds their position, making a decision to wait for someone to make his move first.

This is getting out of hand. I can not help but notice the growing redness on Lucas's ears. Lucas kept his hunched position. He knows that violence means expulsion and to punch Yitrus only build bad blood. Yitrus glares back at Lucas coldly, a sign of dare in the look. The Thunders has gathered around their leader, prepared to back Yitrus up when he needs help. They flex their fingers, their unmoving eyes adding a dark light in the atmosphere.

"Lucas, don't do it," I warn. I stare hard at him, hoping that he take my warning seriously. I want to neither make enemies in a place where its peace might be broken anytime during the war nor be a bullied victim of the Provost's son. Experiences in the orphanage with the orc bully has taught me that messing with people that has the upper hand advantage is head on suicide.
