*Nora's P.O.V*

"WHAT?!?" I was now watching Mirror nervously pace in front of me and Logan. I had just told him that he couldn't come with us into the Pentagon because he had to keep watch over the jet that would be our way out once we got Erik out of the Pentagon. Mirror ran a shaking hand through his sandy blonde hair as he stuttered, "What if something happens to you all and I could have protected you? W-What if something happens to Peter?" I shook my head as I assured him, "I'll look out for Peter. I just need someone to hide the jet so that we won't be spotted as we leave. Your forcefields are one thing that I cannot do as well as you can, I need to know that you can do that for me Mirror." The blonde hesitated for a moment, letting the words I just said sink into him. When he finally nodded, I allowed Peter to be with Mirror alone for a couple seconds. I didn't fully physically look over there, but when I did I saw Mirror tightly clutching onto Peter and the silver-haired boy kissing Mirror lightly on the top of his head. After Logan had enough, I nodded to Peter, who had kept my gaze the entire time, and the five of us entered the Pentagon leaving Mirror to guard the jet.

I followed Logan and Charles under the guise as a tourist, though personally I just wanted to turn invisible and leave the guys to do all the work. I barely paid attention to the Pentagon tour lady as she spewed out facts about the Pentagon, "Built in 1943, the Pentagon is the world's largest office building, housing more than twenty-five thousand military employees stretched over six million square feet." I heard a little boy in front of us meekly ask, "Where's the bathroom?" A little girl standing right next to him, who I assumed was his sister, yelled out, "He needs to pee!" The tour group chuckled as the tour guide incorporated the boy's question into her next fact, "Well, lucky for you, you'll have plenty to choose from. The building was constructed during the segregation so..." I turned out the tour guide as I quickly slipped away with Logan and Charles hot on my tail. When we reached a staircase, I let Logan take the lead as I pressed my right index and middle fingers to my temple to read the minds of the security guards that were reacting to Hank disrupting the signal. Charles and Logan waited for me as I slipped into the mind of one of the security guards and saw Peter step out of an elevator in the full guard uniform carrying a tray of food through one of the monitors in front of me. I heard the other guards around me complain, "Yeah, we're getting a broadcast signal down here. What's going on?" I smirked and exited the guard's mind, leaving him in a confused state, and returned back to my own head where Charles and Logan were trying to get my attention. Logan muttered, "Everything going to plan?" I nodded and gestured to the doors of the room right in front of us, "That's the main kitchen facility. When the alarms start to go off, we should head in there and intercept Peter." When the two men seemed to have acknowledged this, I leaned back on the wall behind me and asked halfheartedly, "So you're really from the future, huh?" Logan nodded, "You still don't believe me? I thought reading my mind gave you enough proof." I shrugged, "The mind can be altered in ways that most cannot understand through grief, trauma, or pain. Reading your mind told me that you've had lots of pain in your past life, including seeing the pain of others." Charles remarked almost inaudibly, "Way to be philosophical, love." I raised an eyebrow at his remark and was about to respond before I heard the alarms blare through the hallways. "That's our cue," I grumbled as we opened the door to see the main kitchen's fire alarm system had been set off by Hank remotely. I muttered sarcastically, "Great thinking Hank, now I'm going to be soaking wet on the plane." Charles sprinted ahead of both of us as he addressed the panicky kitchen staff, "Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, this is a code red situation. We are evacuating the entire floor so that we, my, uh...associates and I can, uh...secure the prisoner." Most of the staff seemed to buy this, and heck I would too if I was in their situation, but of course two guards decided that our story wasn't good enough. They walked up to Logan, Charles, and I, one of them mainly staring at me, and asked, "Who are you?" Charles thought for a second and stuttered out as he improvised on the spot, "We are special operations CBFECIC. Look, perhaps you didn't hear me when first I spoke, that it's imperative that you understand we are in a complete lockdown situation. We have to get you to the third floor..."
