I didn't know what else to do. He needed to stay out. Away from Camp Jupiter. Although i desperately wanted him to stay. Nobody knows im crushing on him. Well... Not yet anyway... But telling him to leave was the only solution to my problem, to my people.
"You." I breathed.
He gave me a confused look.
"What do you mean?"
I gently pushed him against the wall and, before he could protest, i kissed him.
Then he shook his head and disconnected our lips. I placed my hands around his face.
"Nico, what's wrong?"
He shook his head again and looked at the floor, his hair falling in his face.
"Why... " i heard him mutter.
"What?"
"Why did you kiss me?" He said, looking up at me, glaring into my soul.

"... no... I'm sorry Reyna... Praetor... But i don't like you like that." He said, looking down again. "Why would you like me, anyway...?"

"No... I'm sorry, Nico... I was taking advantage of you... But... I really do like you..." I said, lowering my head. And even though that from where I'm from, when you lower your head, it shows you're too weak to lead your people to where they need to be.
Then he did something i didn't expect he'd ever do, especially right now. He wrapped me in a hug. Even though he was at least two inches shorter than me, i still felt like an ant under a hovering foot, while in his arms. I felt small. Powerless. But i understood why he'd pushed me away.
I pulled out of his grasp, wiping the tears from my face.
"I understand why you rejected me... "
"What?"
"You love someone else... "
He looked down, but not after turning dark red.
"Yes..."
"And its not Annabeth, either... Is it?"
If it was possible, his head lowered even more.
"No..."
Nico:
"It's Percy... Isn't it? " she said, looking at the floor, heartbreak in her eyes.

I quickly looked up at her, only to be meet by a gaze so hurtful looking, it almost made me cry.
