It's been over twelve hours since I last saw Dominic, he didn't come down to lunch and he hasn't shown for dinner yet. Once my shift in the mafia house kitchen is over for the night I head up to my room to change into workout gear so I can go get in a workout in the basement before bed, this is the most relaxing least stressful part of my day, blowing off steam while going through this CLUSTER FUCK of men does a rough one on the body.
I shake my head and slip my running shoes over my bright pink socks. Before I realize it, I'm heading down multiple flights of stairs through the foyer and down a few more flights of stairs in the basement until I reach the level housing the in-home gym. I go to turn the old beat up door knob but nothing, I try again and still nothing. I squint through the black tinted windows into the gym and I don't see anyone but when I glance to the left I see a black shadow shaking against the mirrors in the studio.
"Who the..." I wonder to myself, "Ah fuck it!" I walk over to the dim lighted picture frame next to the gym door and reach up on my tippy toes to grasp a small metal key I saw a guard place up here days ago.
I walk back over to the gym door and pop the key right in and within seconds I'm standing in the middle of the dark weight room trying silently not to be caught by the shadow man.
"I know you're there Chanel." He says in the most monotone voice, a voice I would know anywhere. Dominic.
He pulls off his hood and looks at me and I can tell he's having a hard time keeping together, something must be wrong.
"What's wrong?" I say to the man I would rather not help but can't not help.
"Get out." He grumbles turning away from me. I'm walking step by step closer and each step I get closer the more tension I feel between us and within seconds my back is slammed against the cold glass mirror on the opposite side of the studio.
"Get out Chanel I know you heard me." Once I see the look in his eyes I know exactly what's wrong "Panic attack." I mutter out without realizing I'm verbally doing.
Dominic's hands are pinned on the walls on both sides of my head and his leg is pinned between mine, I'm stuck. "What is that Chanel, are you saying you're going to have a panic attack? Is that what you are implying?" My mouth falls open and I am at a loss for words. The tone in his voice gets deeper and angrier, "When someone tells you to leave it does not give you the right to invade their personal space. I knew I hated you for a reason."
I feel my heart racing more and more each word he speaks, when he finally gets to telling me he hates me I snap. "You hate me?! Ha!" I push his chest away from me making him stumble backwards, "You constantly think you are better than everyone, last week when you had your last panic attack upstairs in that hallway who was there to talk you down?! ME! As much as you lie right through your teeth about hating me we both know that isn't true you aren't really fucking sure how to function with.." Dominic pins be back up against the wall but this time it doesn't hurt he has a hand supporting my back, "You're right Chanel! I don't know how to function without YOU, but I don't want to be rely on you I don't want..." "Say it Dominic, say it! Tell me you don't want me!" He cuts me off with a bone crushing kiss, his right hand in on the back of my thigh pulling it around his waist and his left hand is pulling me close by the waist. I find my hands tangled in his shirt pulling him closely like he might disappear form thin air. The kiss is pleading and desperate.
He gasps for air and pulls away, "You're late for curfew." He says turning away going right back to the Dominic who despises my pure existence. I'm left standing there completely stunned, this man has never shown any sweet gestures towards me and he then he kisses me and wants to pretend like I'm spoiled milk on a hot summer day. I push out of the gym door leaving everything I brought with behind.
