Welcome back!

I never expected my life to go like this. Hot shot writer one day, considered scum the next. After last night's chat with Mr. ABC somehow, I managed to drag myself to my 'bedroom.' I still have his voice playing on repeat in my head. Over. Over. And over again.

As I'm sitting up on my forearms Mallory comes barreling through my door, "What's his face and the other what's his face are outside, come spy with me." She groans dragging me out of bed by the wrists. I roll my eyes, "Who cares what they are doing."

She snaps her head back at me, "Look Miss. Hostile I want to get out of here just as much as you and I believe the only way to do that is to figure out what the hell is going on around here." My mouth pierces into a straight line, "Fine." She slowly tugs down on the handle of my balcony slowly.

We make our way on to the balcony eventually and crouch down into an army crawl over to the courtyard where I was caught by Mr. ABC and his men last night.

"I don't understand where it was cleared that they were to bring an extra woman in this house. My signature had to be on that piece of paper! Everyone in this building new I cleared five women, and everyone saw SIX women get out of that truck and NOBODY thought to tell me?!" Mr. ABC runs his hands through his hair and sends the man standing next to him a glare.

"Dominic, I know, but now we have to deal with the problem, you know best that dwelling on the problem won't solve anything." Dominic walks back towards the double doors into the house. "Yeah I'm going to deal with it right now." Mallory and I take off into the room throwing ourselves under the bed.

It never fails that when I'm hiding from death...now that I think about that it isn't very often...it never fails that I need to sneeze. Mallory's face is bright red and she's plugging her nose to keep from laughing and I have my index fingers shoved up my nose preventing me from blowing our cover. We can feel the pounding footsteps of Dominic as he makes his way towards my bedroom. Great, apparently, I'm the extra girl, I roll my eyes, go figure. When the door bursts open he makes his presence known, typical.

"Chanel." I pierce my lips and stare at Mallory, we can see his perfectly polished dress shoes making their way closer to the bed. His cologne is enough to give someone an asthma attack and that doesn't help the already thick air surrounding the room. I'm not the only one feeling the dark energy in the room because Mallory shivers. Before I realize what's happening my knees are getting rug burn and I'm slipping away from Mallory's grip. "I do have to say for being short you are an awful hider." Dominic yanks me up by my wrist and forearm. "Mallory you can leave now, I'm eighty percent positive Chanel will leave in one piece, but then again that's her choice..."

She doesn't move at first but when she does she gets up on the other side of the bed she turns and glares at Dominic. "You're Satan in human being form." Dominic's only response is a shoulder shrug and a single head nod. "Out." He groans at her.

He nudges me towards the bed, "Sit." I find my ass firmly planted on the bed, it's like my subconscious has lost her back bone.

"I won't explain what's going on, it isn't any of your business but you will spend your days just how the other five women, don't think because you got the biggest room or your own bathroom and you think you can stand up to me that you are anything special." He rambles on and turns away from me, "Those girls listen to you, set a good example. You will be given a list every morning of the tasks you are due to complete by the end of the day." I give him a yeah right look. I cross my legs in my lap and fold my hands, "Look I just want to go home, no harm no foul. I won't tell anyone about this...whatever this you have going on here." He shakes his head before I continue speaking, "No." He walks out, and I am left stunned.
