Chapter 9 Vacation Planning

Julie's P.O.V

I'm here laying down on my bed. Making myself more comfortable, and making myself feel more at home. It's quite exhausting at school, sometimes. But, it's more boring here at home than at school. My little sister Daphne is at school, she has a practice today. And my mom is invited to a royal party, dad is actually busy at work. Our bussiness company called medonis inc. is the best company in the whole world, it's famous because my dad usually makes more time finding new accesories and products. And we also owned over 126 hotels around the globe, my dad's employees are relying to us. Our company also owns 78 schools and it's really hard to manage them all except my loving dad. We don't know what to do with our money, but good thing my mom is very kind, caring and loving mother and wife. She is also compassionate to others, so she gave the half of our money for charity and donations.

*ring**ring**ring*

My phone ringed and i slowly got my phone and saw the one who's calling. It's my mom, she must have an emergency or something?!. So i quickly answered it.

Sweety!!!!!. I just called you for something important, i've been planning to have our own family vacation bonding in hawaii. You're dad just told me yesterday, that the school is almost closing for vacation only for 3 weeks in a row. And i want to have a bonding with my whole family, you, daphne and your dad. I really want to have a resort in hawaii, because it's quite relaxing. So tell me if it's okay to you!?!.

And after the long call. I put my phone under my pillow, and i started thinking about what mom said. Did she really want to go to hawaii so badly, but i know mom just wanted us to be together as family. Dad never rejected mom's decision, rather than that, he would just agree for it.

"I'm not so sure about that. But i'll try thinking about this kind of choice, well vacation is almost coming. Atleast, we can rest and relax a bit." I thought.

Malcolm's P.O.V

I was just watching tv. Sitting on the comfortable, soft and imported leather couch from our leaving room, i'm actually alone at home. My mom went to the supermarket to buy some foods and other things she wanted to cook for dinner.

"Yoh! Dude, watch ya watchin'. I came here to drop by." Roger said.

I was so startled a minute ago. Believe me, he's always like that. Since we just became friends since we we're little. I could tell, his being childish sometimes.

"Why are you here anyways?!?. Is there a problem with you??." I asked.

"No, it's just that..... me and dad are going to hawaii!!!. The school vacation is almost near, dad just told me a week ago he has plans. So, both of us are having a family get-together bonding. Our relatives are also coming too, we have a family reunion." He explained.

"Well, good for you then." I commented.

"Dude?!. Aren't you going to have a family vacation??!?. Is mrs. Walker planning something for your vacation, right?!." He asked.

"I don't know?. But i'll try asking her tomorrow, i'm not really in the mood and i must get some nap later." I said. Followed by a deep yawned.

"Yeah, right?!!!." Roger responded.

3 hours later................

I'm taking a nap in our comfy couch. I did fell asleep, roger must have left already. He really is bored when i'm not in a good mood to listen about his father and son bonding. I'm jealous, because he can have vacation with his dad in a different place, and sreiously?!. H-A-W-A-I-I. He's lucky his dad has the time to be with him for a while.

"I'm home!, malcolm. Are you alone, i thought roger will come by and see you. I'm sorry i was a bit late, because it's traffic. Good thing i'm home already." Mom said.

"Y-yeah. I know-w-w." I yawned.

"Did you just took a nap. Awww..... sorry i disturbed you." She apologized.

"No, it's okay. I just woke up though." I replied.

"Oh! Is that so...... hmmm... i think i should cook then." She said.

"O-o-okay..... i'll just go to my room." I stood up and walk slowly upstairs. It feels so tiring this day.

2 and a half hours later................

In the kitchen. With malcolm's parents and him, eating silently.

"Umm.... malcolm, son... can you please give me the soup." My dad

"Here you go." I gave him the bowl of soup.

After the long silence in the dining room. I started to speak up.

"When will we ever have a family vacation?!???!!!." I blurted.

Then, the dining room became silent. For a long pause, dad open his phone beside him, and looked at something that made him grin a little.

"Son, we do have a vacation ofcourse. I decided something special, how about hawaii?!." He responded.

"Well, that's great then. Roger and his dad are also going to hawaii this weekend. When will we go there, dad??." I questioned.

"Tomorrow." He quickly answered.

"Tomorrow?!. Really hun..... oh! This is going to be so much fun. Isn't it malcolm?!." Mom said with joy.

"I guess so...... atleast, we can be together as a family. We will spend more of our time at hawaii, i think that's not such a bad idea." I said with a mature tone.

And i pushed myself letting the chair move a little. I got up in my full height, mom and dad looked at me.

"Sweety?. Are you okay?!." Mom asked while eating.

"Yeah, i'm fine. It's just that..... i'll go pack my things for tomorrow. It's actually a long journey to hawaii." I shrugged with a weird look on my face.

"Well, ok. Just to make sure you won't leave anything important for tomorrow, it's going to be a great day tomorrow. Aye, hun." Mom said with a giggle.

I walked upstairs to my room. And opened the door, i sighed. I sat down on my bed thinking about the entire week, without........... ugh! What am i suppose to do if she weren't their either. I feel stupid, but something caught my eye. Our family picture on the top of the drawer, our family portrait was the day when me and my parents are in italy, palermo. We toured so many different places there, but it was actually my birthday that time. I'm the one who insisted my parents to go to italy in the first place. Because you know about me, love to experience new things and write them down on my novel as usual.

I held our family picture and a wide smile form from my lips. As i looked at me in the portrait while my dad carrying me and my mom smiling with a good impression, i was turning 7 that day. I was so happy that my parents granted me my wish.

"Unforgetable, moment of my life with you guys were the best. I'm so lucky." I whispered deeply and in my thoughts.

I wish that our vacation turns out pretty good. And i don't want to miss it for the world, it's great though. I don't have to worry about school anymore, and most of all i don't have to see her for a while.
