Pete has literally been working his ass off down at Rainbow for the past week and he thankfully made it to his first weekend off. Work wasn't so bad, it had its annoyances just like any other job, such as customers being too touchy and grabby but there were always ways to get that sorted out. Gerard personally made sure of that, he wasn't the most intimidating guy but he could scare someone if he really wanted to.

Now Pete wanted to do something during his time off, he had two days of freedom and didn't want to waste a minute of it. He didn't have any plans made but he was going to make some last minute ones soon, he just had to think about what to do first.

In the meantime, he got himself up out of bed at a decent hour and showered before pulling on his favorite but simple red dress that he always kept in the back of his closet. It looked more like an oversized, long sleeved shirt honestly, but it was comfy and that's what Pete like most about it.

He then sat at his vanity and applied his usual cat eye and added a coat of lip gloss to his lips before grabbing his car keys and heading out the door. He wasn't sure where he was going to go just yet, he thought about hanging out with Hayley and just spending the day shopping or something. It seemed like a good idea but it was only eleven thirty, she was probably asleep still, as well as his other friends. Well everyone except Joe, for some reason Joe was always awake in the early hours of the day, usually just lounging around in his room. So Pete decided he'd go hang out with Joe first before he would call Hayley for a day out on the town.

Pete drove the few miles it took to get to Joe and Patrick's and parked in the lot, getting out and locking up the car then making his way to the apartment. He was just about to knock when he remembered that Joe always kept a spare key under the mat in case of an emergency. This wasn't an emergency necessarily, unless Pete was going to suddenly die of boredom, which isn't possible but it was emergency enough.

He grabbed the spare key and unlocked the door, stepping inside and putting the key back where it was before closing the door behind him.

"Joe?" Pete called out to the seemingly empty apartment as he toed off his shoes and left them against the wall with some of Joe's dirty sneakers. He didn't get a response, which was a little weird. Patrick at least had to be there or something.

"Patrick?" Pete called. Still nothing. "One of you better be here." He muttered to himself, heading in the direction of the bedrooms.

He opened Joe's bedroom door, cringing a bit at the loud creak it made, finding the room to be full of everything except for his curly haired friend. Pete sighed then closed the door, looking towards Patrick's room in hopes he'd be in there. He walked up and pressed his ear to the door, it was silent as far as he could tell. With a quick turn of the knob and a small push, he opened the door and scanned the room for his... boyfriend, maybe(?) and found Patrick sitting on his bed with his back toward Pete. There were ear buds in his ears so he didn't hear Pete at all when he entered the apartment. Patrick then laid back on the bed, eyes closed and head nodding to whatever music was flowing through his ears.

Pete smirked a bit to himself, deciding he'll surprise Patrick with his presence. He walks over to the side of the bed where Patrick was laying, clueless to everything around him as his foot began to tap. Pete lifted the hem of his dress a bit to give his legs some room to move before he climbed up on the bed and into Patrick's lap.

Immediately, Patrick's eyes shot open and he jumped, a startled yelp escaping him. Once he saw that it was Pete who was on top of him, grinning from ear to ear, he breathed a sigh of relief and pulled his ear buds out.

"What the hell, Pete?" Patrick spoke calmly, trying to get his heart rate to go back to normal.

"Hey, Pattycakes." He smiled, not even the least bit sorry about scaring the daylights out of the other man. "Where's Joe?"
