I looked out the window. It was a perfect day for a ride. I was happy to go with Chase, we didn't get a lot of sleep lately and that made us a bit edgy.

I turned away from the window and saw Chase staring at me. I smiled. "What are you doing?" I asked.

"Looking at how beautiful you are and thinking about the best girlfriend I could ever have." He smiled as he answered.

I walked over to him and I stopped right in front of him. I was thinking about what I should do. Before I could do anything, I was in Chase's arms. One of his arms was under my legs and the other one under my back.

Before I could ask him what he was doing, he kissed me and I kissed him back.

We pulled away and I whispered, "you're the best boyfriend in the world."

"Oh, trust me, I'm not that great!" He said as he lay me down on the couch and started tickling me.

When he stopped I said, "I still love you."

"Good. Now let's go eat. I'm starving!" He said.

"Wonder why." I muttered under my breath smiling.

"I'll tickle you again." He warned.

"NO!!!" I said very loudly.

He started laughing.

"What's so funny?" I asked.

"The way you looked at me." He tried saying while he was still laughing.

"Oh." I said and walked past him and into the kitchen.

"Come on Buck!" I said. He wouldn't get out of his stall.

"Let me try." Said Chase.

"Good luck." I said as I backed away.

Chase went beside the arabian's head and talked softly to him. He put a hand on his nose and started rubbing his neck with the other hand.

He calmed down and Chase gently reached for the lead rope and pulled softly on it. The horse took a step forward and Chase stopped pulling.

"Good boy." I said.

He pulled a bit more and Buck took two steps forward. Chase didn't even have to pull and Buck came out on his own.

"Good boy." Chase said.

I moved closer, carefully and Buck backed up in fright.

"It's okay, I won't hurt you." I said quietly as I got closer. He lowered his head a bit. I blew softly in his nostrils and he blew hot air in my face. (A greeting between horses).

"Good boy." I said softly.

"I can't wait to ride him." Chase said.

"Don't get your hopes up too high. Let's just start by brushing him to get him used to being touched everywhere on his body and then we'll see about a saddle." I said.

"Yeah I know it will take a lot of time." He said.

"I'll go get the brushes and you can tie him with the cross ties." I said.
