The first day of Warped Tour was officially over.
Almost all of the bands attending the festival were there, plates full of food in one hand and a beer in the other. Everyone was happy socializing with each other. Everyone except Josh Franceschi.
He was sitting quietly on the grass, a blank look on his face and a full beer in hand. Josh was still shocked at the fact that Oli had confessed feelings for him that otherwise he would have never known were there.
"Babe." Alicia said, snapping Josh out of his thoughts. "There’s MDE. Can I go meet them please?"
"Yeah, sure, of course." Josh said breathily, not paying much attention to his girlfriend.
"I can’t go by myself silly. They’ll think I’m some crazy fan that somehow managed to stay behind to stalk them."
"Fine."
Josh set the beer down next to him and pushed himself on his feet, taking his girlfriend’s hand short after.
"Let’s go." Josh said.
They walked over to where Modern Day Escape was standing and started a conversation.
"Hey man, what’s up?" James, vocalist for the band, said.
"Hi, I’m Josh Franceschi, lead singer of the band You Me At Six and this is my girlfriend Alicia." Josh said. "She’s been a big fan for a while now and wanted to meet you guys."
"Well we all know everyone always wants to meet James more than any of us." Sandra, drummer for the band, said. "News flash barbie, you’ve got a boyfriend and if you want to ruin James’ relationship then you’re wasting your time. It’s not high school this time."
Alicia’s mouth dropped open as Sandra walked away.
"Who does she think she is?" she screeched. "Is she always that rude."
"Sorry about that, nothing I can do." James shrugged. "Sandra is like an older sister to me, she’s very protective."
"Did you say Sandra? Like Sandra Alva?"
"The one and only."
"Holy shit."

“Are you sure you don’t want to go?” Matt asked Oli, who was on the couch covered in a red blanket.
“Yeah, I’m sure mate. I already ate and I don’t want to see you know who.” Oli said quietly. “I’ll just stay in here and watch a movie.”
“Okay, I’ll call you if we need help moving anyone into the bus.”
“Sounds good.”
Matt walked to the door and walked out, leaving Oli by himself. The younger male sighed and pulled the cover up higher.
“What the fuck am I going to do?” Oli asked out loud to no one. “I have to perform with Josh tomorrow. Might as well send him a message on Twitter.”
~@olobersyko: hey @joshmeatsix we’ve got to perform together tomorrow. just reminding you.
Oli sighed and threw his phone on the table next to him. He hoped it wouldn’t be awkward, but inevitably, it would.

“Okay up next on the acoustic basement, we have two frontmen of two bands performing two songs that they collaborated with each other on.” the young woman said. “Please welcome, Oliver Sykes and Josh Franceschi.”
Everyone clapped and whistled, the noise only getting louder once Oli came out. The crowd stopped cheering when they saw that Josh wasn’t there.
“Hey, where’s Josh?” one guy asked, followed by a bunch of yeah andwhere.
“Uh, I don’t think he-” Oli said being interrupted by a sudden surge of cheers.
“Sorry, I’m late everyone.” Josh apologized to the crowd, not making eye contact with Oli. “Let’s start. Which song would y’all like to hear first?”

After Josh and Oli finished performing, the younger male got up and left, not bothering to look back at the other.
“Josh! Josh!” Oli yelled. “Joshua, for fuck’s sake listen to me.”
“There’s nothing to talk about.” Josh said coldly.
He kept looking ahead of him as he increased his pace. The older male also increased his pace, eventually catching up with Josh and grabbing his wrist.
“That hurts!” Josh complained.
“And you just running away yesterday after I told you how I felt hurt too, but you didn’t hear me complaining about it.” Oli said. “Just hear me out, okay?”
“Tomorrow at the next venue’s ampitheater as soon as we get there.” Josh said.
Oli nodded and watched his old friend walk away. Tomorrow was sure to be an important day.
