there were five of them left. renjun and chenle got sent back to china after getting discharged. they bid their goodbyes. taeyong, on the other hand visited the tomb of the members that has passed.

"taeil hyung. mark's gone" taeyong said as he sat beside taeil's tomb. he felt tears falling from his cheeks. a thunder was heard and in a matter of seconds, it started to rain. taeyong ignored the rain, thinking the members were listening to him and that he made them cry.

"sorry" he said as he looked up and let out a chuckle. he stood up and patted taeil's tomb. he went back to the others afterwards. all of them were gathered in the living room, eyes widened when they saw taeyong.

"hyung, what happened to you?" jeno asked. taeyong shook his head and gave him a small smile. his gaze then turned to jisung. he took a deep breathe as he went back to his room. "i'm gonna protect you" he said to himself as he took his clothes off about to shower.

after showering, he heard a knock and hurried getting dressed. he opened the door and it revealed jisung with a scared look on his face, "what's wrong?" he asked. he then saw jisung holding a crumpled paper, "where did you get that?" he asked.

"am i next?" he asked. taeyong stared at him as he slowly gave him a nod. jisung looked down, taeyong then went near him. slowly pulling his head to his chest as he hears jisung's coft cries.

"don't worry, jisung. i promise i'll protect you didn't i?" taeyong said and he heard a hum from jisung. he patted his back and wiped his tears away. "everything well be fine" he assured which made jisung smile a little.

"promise me something too jisung. you'll stay with me right?" taeyong asked. jisung nodded as he gave him a small smile.

taeyong didn't even bother to sleep, he stayed awake to watch over the others specially jisung. he got out of his room, "can't sleep?" he heard someone say which made him jump a little.

"yeah, i'm gonna look for snacks. wanna come?" yuta nodded. once they were downstairs, the others woke up as well. as taeyong was looking for food. he pointed a gun on him, everyone's eyes widened as they backed away.

"i thought it was wrong to suspect you but it turns out it was true" taeyong said. he smirked at his comment, "you trusted me too much didn't you?" he said as he cocked the gun and pulled the trigger. jisung's eyes widened and ran in front of his hyung.

"that's sweet" he said as he pushed them out of the way and ran.

taeyong's eyes widened. he caught jisung just as he was about to fall, "why.. why?" he stuttered. tears started to form on his eyes, jeno called an ambulance.

they were all just staring at jisung and taeyong as they feel tears fall from their eyes. jaemin turned his back against them as he cried.

"h-hyung" jisung called. he handed taeyong a necklace, it was a necklace he gave jisung on his birthday. "keep it" jisung managed to say as he gave taeyong a small smile.

"stay with me okay? you promised didn't you? i.. i'm sorry. please don't.. don't close your eyes" he stuttered. "sorry hyung. i don't.. don't think i'd be able to keep my promise after all" jisung said.

"i'm sorry" taeyong said as he gripped on to the necklace jisung gave him. taeyong let out a small gasp as he felt jisung's hand on his face, "it's okay, hyung. i'm glad you're.. safe" jisung said which made taeyong and the others cry even harder. he looked at his hyungs one by one, giving them a small smile before closing his eyes shut. "see you later"

jisung closed his eyes. taeyong and the others cried even harder. "please open your eyes, please" taeyong managed to say between the sobs. he held on the necklace tighter as he hugged jisung. "i'm sorry"

the remaining members and close friends attended jisung's funeral. they all gave them their last messages to jisung.

taeyong was staring at jisung's lifeless body, "turns out in the end we both broke our promises huh?" taeyong said tears fall from his eyes. he wiped them and, "i'll avenge your death jisung, and the others as well" he balled his hands in to fist.

jaehyun was just at door observing taeyong.

"i'm gonna kill you" taeyong said he remembered that person.
