Chapter 5~
Aelita and Andrew stood at the base of the temple, worried and sad. Everyone they both knew was
dead. The camp was destroyed. Aelita's premonitions and feelings were true. They stood at the
base of the very large temple. They could here talking at the top.

"Master, I did as you said. Recruit another follower and kill everyone in camp," Cato said.
"Yes, but there are two left alive, not that they can stop me!" Garther spoke. "Now give me those
two pendants!" He yelled. Cato and Leo both gave their pendants to Garther. "Good, good. These
two pendants hold many abilities from the demigods you killed. They shall give the power to
destroy the gods and Earth. Hahaha. Now I have no use for you two," and lightning shoot from
Garther's hands, engulfing Cato and Leo.
"Master, why..." Cato cried as he and Leo turned stone-like and evaporated into the air.
Garther walked to an altar at the top of the temple. It was in a language only Garther's clan knew.
There were two empty spots for the pendants. Garther placed them in and watched as the temple
gained a black haze around it. "Haha, in a matter of minutes, I will have my true power and will
make this world burn! Hahaha!"

"We must get up there and destroy the two pendants!" Andrew told Aelita. "They must contain the
power he needs!" Andrew thought.
"Then what are we waiting for? Let's go!" Aelita said as they began to trek up the temple.
"Puny pests! Trying to stop me? What fools!" Garther laughed. "METEOR SHOWER!" He yelled,
as meteors starting falling towards Aelita and Andrew.
"Watch out!" Andrew yelled, firing an arrow at an oncoming meteor. "Aelita, you must stop
Garther! I will defend you from the meteors. When you get to the top, you will be by yourself,"
Andrew explained to Aelita.
"Yes, but won't you come to the top and help me?" Aelita asked.
"Yes, but it will take time. Now Go!" Andrew yelled and Aelita took off towards the top. Andrew
pulled another arrow out. He fired it, hitting a meteor near Aelita. He fire and fired, hitting
meteors aimed for Aelita. She was halfway. He moved up, being sure that she would make it. She
reached the summit. Andrew started his trek up the temple, unaware of Aelita's new troubles.

-Aelita POV-
I made it to the top. I really did! I look back down and see Andrew starting to come up. I could
hold my own until he backed me up. I turn to Garther, who is praying at the altar. He turns to me,
laughing. "You fool. You cannot defeat me. Even if your chosen one who is told to destroy me and
the temple. What lies," he praised." I will destroy you, then your friend. Then the WORLD AND
GODS!!!!!" He said, speaking something under his breath. Words light up not the ground along the
edge of the top of the temple. I don't know what they are. I prepare to fight, pulling hidden poison
darts from my pocket. It throw them at Gather as he fires lightning at me.

-Andrew POV-
I make it to the top. Aelita has drawn her sword and is trying to get past Garther and his staff. He
shoots lightning and little darts at Aelita as she defends and tries to slash at his skin. Neither get a
good hit in. I walk up to help but am thrown back. I try again and am still thrown back. I look at
the ground. A curse! I won't be able to help her. This spell is too strong. A spell meant to stop the
gods. But this spell also won't let anything or anyone leave. Aelita and Garther are trapped inside.
But maybe I can make a hole in the field big enough to pull Aelita out after she destroys the
pendant. I put my bow away and pull out my elvish sword, made from the elves of old. The wisest
and strongest. I slash at the shield, and again, and again. I hit the same spot. The shield cracks an
inch and a small chip falls out. But in a matter of seconds the shield regrows and is twice as strong.
I would have to be swift and smart in order to get Aelita out and destroy Garther.
