Chapter 6~
-Aelita POV-
I stand, sword drawn, making a strategy. I need to get around Garther and break both pendants.
But I won't be able to leave because of the spell. Maybe the stones being destroyed will break the
spell?
"Foolish girl! If you succeed and do break these stones, you will perish with me. The stones will
release a blast that will incinerate everyone in the spell zone. Then, this temple will blow up, also
killing your friend on the outside. But, hey, all evil I have done will be reversed, bringing back your
friends, the camp, and the elves. But no demigod has ever destroyed the stones to save others.
They have all been too greedy and have surrendered in order to save themselves, like you will do!
Hahaha!" Garther laughed, preparing for my surrender.
"I-I-I will not be greedy. I would give my life to save them any day!" I cried.
"That's what they all say until they see my true form!" Garther sarcastically sighed. He rose off the
ground and a haze formed around him. I look back to Andrew, watching in horror, at Garther.
Garther gained two more arms, two more legs. Then they all turned into claws, and Garther's body
became bigger and rounder. The haze cleared and Garther had transformed into a huge spider
creature. He looked at me. "Now do you surrender?" He gargled.
"NO!" I screamed, charging forward.
Garther slashed at me with his front claws. I deflected with my sword, but was sent flying into the
shield. I felt as though some of my ribs broke. I stood up, spitting blood to the side. I charged
again, sliding under Garther. I stabbed one of Gather's eyes, sending green ooze everywhere. He
wailed in pain. I stood up and ran to the altar. I went to break the first pendant. Garther shot string
at me, pulling me back before I broke it. I cut the string and went for the stone again. I fell on the
stone in a daze. Garther plunged on claw at me. I rolled over, causing him to destroy one pendant.
"You insolent trash. I will slowly kill you, ripping your guts out, killing your boyfriend in your face,
and slowly rip your head off!" He cursed. "But I still have one pendant!"
"Yes, but not for long!" I said, throwing my sword. It cut through Garth's stomach, and exited
through his back, breaking the second pendant.
"NO!!!!!!" He yelled.
An explosion threw me back into the shield by Andrew. He was doing something. I could barely
look up. I looked at Garther.
"If I'm going to die, your going to be at my side in pain!" He started towards me, a purple
explosion following behind him. The incineration. I would be dead in a matter of seconds, then
Andrew would be. At least everyone else would live. And the camp saved.

-Andrew POV-
I've gathered all the explosives I could around the remnants of camp. I tied them to my arrows. I'd
only have one chance to save Aelita. I look up to see Garther turn into a spider creature. He must
have great power in order to do that. I keep at work. I tie the last explosive. I look up again and see
one pendant destroyed, Aelita throw her sword through Garther, the second pendant destroyed,
and Aelita being thrown back by me. I fire all my arrows in the shield. They stick in it. I hold my
last arrow. I light the explosive with a torch. I fire it into the center of the explosives. I put my bow
away and draw my sword. I see a purple explosion. I heard everything Garther and Aelita said
before. I knew if I did get her out, I would have to get off the temple. And if I didn't get her out, she
and I would be incinerated. Garther charges for her. The explosives go off and a huge hole in the
shield is formed. I jump in and Garther attack me with his claws. I block each one and kick him
back. He stumbles. I pick Aelita up and head for the closing hole. Garther chases to stop us. I
jump, fitting through the hole with Aelita. Garther jumps, but is too late. The hole has sealed and is
three times as strong. The blaze engulfs Garther. He starts to rot, slowly melting into nothing. But I
mustn't stop. Aelita stands up.
"You saved me. But how and why and..." I stopped her.
"We cannot stop! RUN!" I say.
We take off running down the steps, the temple starts shaking and breaking apart. Huge chunks fly
everywhere. I pull her to the side and start sliding down the flat area. We are halfway down, but
won't make it. "Aelita, we have to jump!" I say.
"But we are high off the ground!" She yells.
"There is no other choice!" We jump high and are pushed forward by an explosion. We land in a
mud puddle by the fence. We look up and watch the temple blow up in a purple fiery explosion.
The fire dissipates and the temple is gone. There is a yellow glow in the center of camp. We walk
towards it. There is a yellow circle, glowing high up into the gray skies.
