Like all tales of life, it began in a Kid's Expo the year of 2013. Being a little Mexican spice ball with no sense of direction, little friends, and no self-esteem I looked for every opportunity to find ways to protect myself from all the dangers this world had to offer. Unlike cheerleading or joining some football club, I was interested from the very beginning in martial arts for the way they moved like water, stood rock solid against opponents, and had the stereotypical idea of martial arts as being a fight for all stuff. I remember walking around the expo just minding my business until something caught the corner of my eyes, a little, simple stand. Mr. Hall stood there with a big smile, a white uniform, and a big goofy spirit that drew me to sign up for the summer classes.
I began with summer classes only as I had only signed up for those and not a full-time student yet, I trained as hard as I could to be the best as I could be and I proved to be a fast learner which gave my mom the ok to sign up for full-time. I remember coming home tired but still restless and as a solution I'd train on my pivet my backfoot on the side of my bed every night before I slept, I was happy that I had found a passion that I chose and had a community that welcomed me which was something I had never experienced before.
PS: Well where has time gone? When I wrote this I was a little 16 yr old munchkin 😂
