Twin Moons shone brightly as two Nightingales ran through the night. Their silver armor was shining under the northern lights. Tones of pink, green, blue, purple and yellow looked like curtains on the wind in the sky and like waves on the armor's reflection.
Songs of owls made fascinating duette with nirnroots that grew by the water. Their luminescence showed the path through the woods for two young lovers.
They suddenly stopped. Their path was cut by cliff. The end of road. Male Nightingale shrugged and crossed his arms looking at the female one.
"Guess this is the end.."
He spoke with peaceful and lovely voice. Everytime she heard him she felt tingling inside her chest.
"Oh, don't act like you didn't plan this!"
She said. Her weak and gentle voice colided with night melodies. The male Nightingale looked at her and laughed.
"Karliah...so sharp. I can never fool you."
"It would be an insult to me if you could."
She laughed and got closer towards him. He spread his arms. Karliah accepted them and gave him a firm hug.
"Hmm... What was that supposed to mean? Are you mocking my skills?"
He joked and acted like he's offended. Karliah just held him even tighter and burried her face in his shoulder.
"Gallus..."
She spoke. Slight annoyance in her voice was present. Gallus laughed once again. He put down her hood and stroked her hair. It was colour of leaves, but during the night it seemed the exact same colour as her enchanting purple eyes. They shone like stars. Gallus especially liked that.
"I love you."
He said before leaning into a kiss. Karliah returned the kiss and hugged him even tighter.
The feelings they experienced were incomprehensible. Love was too solid word for this sensation. They felt like one. They felt like one body, one mind, one soul.
Tangled love held them tightly as a rope. They could not set themselves free even if they wanted to. Will of hearts was too stronger. It denied reason. It denied everything connected to reallity and verity.
In this circle of happiness, misapprehension, fallacy... they could not imagine how easly could one heading cut it in half. How easly this could be untangled. How easly this could be tear down.
Only by an arrow and an enemy presented like a friend. Predator of great appetite and snake full of lies. The venom that posioned this love and destroyed it like it was nothing. All of this. Happiness. Love. Imagination. Blindness. Trust. All of this led into a disater. All of this turned into a dust. Leaving only a poor soul torn apart. Leaving scars as deep as abyss. Leaving a soul full of mourning, regret and sorrow. And hate. Hate which was her blade, ready to taste the blood of traitor when the time comes.
