Adrian's pov

I gave her all the information she needs to know about Alice.
I may have given this responsibility to Alice but that doesn't mean I trust her. I have one of my worker whom I trust watching her every move. Where she goes? Whom she meets? Blah.... Blah..... Blah.
If anything goes wrong with her I will be the first one to know.

"yes mom I'm fine." I said for the third time.

My mom has become more sensitive about her children after my father's death. It was difficult to make through those times where we only had my mother to take care of us. She was broken but still she always managed to smile for us.
I don't understand how my father got someone like my mother. She's the most beautiful woman and the only woman after my sister whom I respect and love with all my heart. She is the kind of women every man would want in his life and the lucky one was my father.
They loved each other to death. And in the end this is what 'love' does to everybody. Betray.

"so how's that project of yours going? " she asked.

" mom. I have reached here just some hours ago I still have to work."

"oh sorry sweetie. I don't know what exactly is the deal or the project but I know you have worked hard for that. I know you'll never let your father's hard work all go in vain." She whispered and I know she's on the verge of tears.

"Don't cry mom"

"I won't" She whispered.
"you don't like me crying. So I won't." She sniffed.

"don't worry mom. Your handsome son will do well" I said and she giggled.

"I'll talk to you tomorrow. Take care. I love you." I said and hung up.
I know I sometimes act like a kid but I don't care. I am my mummy's boy.

Project.
I took a deep breath.

I hope nothing goes wrong. If anything goes out of line it would make my company suffer.

Well, let's get ready for tonight.
I got up from my bed when my phone rang.

"hello? " I said in my usual stern voice. I'm only sweet to my family and nobody else.

" sir. I have just delivered the dress to Miss Carson" one of my workers informed me.

Yes I bought a dress for her. Today is a big day and since she is accompanying me to the party so she should look her best. There will be many people there. My associates, my rivals and some people even richer than me.

I didn't to tell her the time.

I took out my phone and emailed her.

Be ready at 7:45 sharp. My driver will some to pick you up. I'll meet you there directly.

I feel sometimes that I'm going to regret bringing her or giving her this big responsibility. As far as I have seen her, the way she talks, the way she behaves and she has that aura of innocence that I feel around her. Still I'm not ready to except that she is what she shows. I still need a conformation.
Lucas burst out on me when I told him that I gave the blueprints to her. He was angry and shocked that how can I just handover something this important to a person I hardly know.
But that is what the catch is, nobody will think that I have handed such a task to someone I barely know and trust her to keep it safe. Well I still don't trust her. I have my people watching over her.
