"Thanks Mrs. Ellis, I wouldn't have guessed without you. I now know why YOU are the teacher in this shit-hole." The whole class try's to maintain their laughter some just sit there in shock. Mrs. Ellis stood there pointing her finger, directing him to sit in the seat next to me. Before he sits down in his chair we both stare at each other. What felt like ten minutes but in reality it was a couple seconds. He nods to himself and sits and the teacher finishes her sentence.
"Now there is a paper in front of you with five questions you and your neighbor must answer them before the period ends. When you're done please put it on my desk, you may begin." I lift my bag off the floor and get a pencil out and write my name on the top and start to read the questions.
' 1- what is your partners first and last name?
2- what is your partners Second period?
3- what is your partners favorite color?
4- what Is your partners age?
5- is your partner new at Ridgeway high?'Hmm these should be fairly simple.
"So you want to-" I look up and see him on his phone obviously not interested in what I have to say.
"If you don't want to do this then tell me so I could get a different partner." I say staring down at his phone then back at him. He exhales and puts his hand up in a 'go on' manner."You want to go first on asking the questions or shall I?"
"You can." Okay not what I was expecting but whatever.
"So what's your name?" Since he was taller than me even sitting down I still had to look up at him. He points to the name tag at the edge of the table, giving a blank expression.
"Uh ..okay? Last name ?" He turns to me like he's already over with this Q&A.
"Gray." He smirks.
"Okay Mr. Gray..What's your second period?""English 3." Since we're juniors I wondered why he wasn't in honors.
"Oh are you in honors?"
"Is that one of the questions?"
"No."
"Then why are you asking me that?"
"Sorry just making small talk, Didn't know it was such a hard one to answer." Well that was rude so rule #1 don't ask simple questions, got it.
"What's your favorite color?"
"Navy blue. Next?" He says trying to rush me.
"Uh okay how old are you? And are you new to Ridgeway High?"
"17 and no I am not. Can I go now?" Okay if he gives me attitude one more time I swear I'm going to tell him off.
"No now you do me." I say trying to keep my voice calm, pushing the question sheet to him.
"How old are you? Are you new to Ridgeway high? What's your favorite color, second period, and first and last name?" He says sarcastically. I smirk to myself, Fine wanna play that game Gray, okay."17, yes, purple, English 3 honors, and Marilyn Blade." I give him a smirk. I see him struggling to write down everything fast. By the time he's writing question 3 the bell had rang I put my bag on my back grabbed the paper and skipped to the front of her desk and set the paper down. I turn around smiling at him while he gives me a hateful look while I'm walking out the door.
I pull out my schedule to see where my next class is, 'A-110.' Okay great so it's a little ways from my first period. After 2 minutes of searching I couldn't find my class so I ask a girl behind me where it is. She had green/blue eyes and blonde hair that stopped mid length, and was also wearing a leather jacket.
"Hey excuse me do you know where room A-110 is? I'm new here and can't seem to find my way around this school." She giggles
"Yea I actually have that class right now so I can show you." I sigh in relief.
"Yes please thank you, oh I'm Marilyn by the way." I say reaching my hand out.
"Sarah but people call me Sunny for short." She says shaking my hand.
