I'm Not That Girl Anymore

I turn around and open the door but Dean's hand is against it refusing me to leave.
"What do you want Dean!"
"Awe it's okay princess the boss just wants you to complete a task for him." I elbow him in the stomach making him stumble back. I swing open the door and run down the stairs. Dean jumps off the railing and lands right in front of me. I shove past him and grab the keys to my brothers old truck.
"Fine you want to play it that way huh?" I turn around and see a fist.

I open my eyes and blink constantly trying to regain my vision. I look down at my clothes and see I'm wearing a jacket, jeans and converse. "What the? Owe!" I grown holding my cheek where Dean had hit me. "Hurts like a bitch huh." My eyes widen, I scurry out of the bed and run to the door. When Dean grabs my arm and pulls me against the wall.
"Look you wanna be done with this? Then just do something for Julian." I look him in the eyes as I pull my arm away. "I thought I already was done with this! How did you find me?" He walks to the edge of the bed and runs his hand through his hair. "I admit it was hard finding you but that guy you hang around showed me the way."
I gave him a puzzled look. "Green eyes, brown hair. That ring a bell?"
"Will?" My eyes harden, "Stay away from him."

"Me? You should be staying away from him, remember rule number 1? No relationships." I cross my arms and lean against the wall.

"Well you didn't have a problem with that when I was here, now did you? Besides I don't follow you're rules anymore." I say looking down at my feet then locking eyes with him.

He gets up off the bed and takes a key out of his pocket. "He's waiting, lets go." He grabs my arm and lunges me forward causing me to stumble. All I see is plain gray walls that are lit up by long white lights on the ceiling.

"Stop." He orders and knocks on the door 3 times before they open it.
"Raven?" I look up to see him. The man that ruined my life, the man that sent his people to kill my parents, the man that made me kill people for him. "Julian." He has dark hair almost black, and dark eyes mostly wears a leather jacket.

"Miss me?" He's standing behind a big oval table and four guys with guns are standing on each corner of the room.
"Now I know I've said I let you off the hook but-"
"Just cut to the chase Julian what do you want?"
"Well it's fairly simple, I need you to kill someone who has a debt that hasn't been payed."
"Why me? Why can't you have one of your bitches take them out." I say directing to the huge bald guy right next to me. He growls and narrows his eyes at me.
"Because I think you'll want to kill them yourself. " He snaps at the three men directing them to all walk out of the room. Leaving Dean, Julian, me and his bald bodyguard (Aka Mr. Clean.)

"Why would I want to do that?"
"Because Raven, I know you, you're are still the same girl I used to know, you were the best assassin if you will, to ever be here. Besides they have something you want."
"Listen freak show I'm not that girl anymore, and if they had what I wanted then you'd be dead right now."
"If I were dead then you'd never know that, that's the people who killed your Grace and Paul."

My eyes light up Anger consumes my body I grab his bodyguard and push him toward Dean, making them fall to the ground. I run over and grab the Bodyguards gun and wack him over the head with it. Dean pushes the body off of him and stands as I point the gun at him.

"Don't move."
"Or what? You won't shoot me." He snickered.
I take the bottom of the gun and bash it in to his head causing him to fall on top of the other guy.

I turn the gun toward Julian and start to walk towards him. "DON'T EVER SAY THEIR NAMES!! YOU HAVE 5 MINUTES TO TELL ME HOW TO GET OUT OF HERE!" I yell tears streaming down my cheeks.

He smirks and points to the door. I slowly back up still pointing the gun at him.
"Out the door there are two hallways take a left, there should be a ladder on your right." I twist the knob.
"Raven, 970087 Leighton st." I stop and turn my head back. "You kill them you can go back to your 'normal' life" he says air quoting normal. "But if you don't kill them, my men will not stop following or watching you. Even your friends, like Will, Sunny, Ryan. Do I need to go on?" I walk out of the room locking the door where he couldn't get out. "Don't call me Raven."

"Marilyn?!" My brother runs over to me concerned. "James. They found us." "They know?" I nod. "Damnit!" He kicks the table making everything on it fall. "Raven we have to leave."
"No, no more running. He wants me to complete another mission for him."
"Raven no we hav-" I cut him off now raising my voice. "He wants me to kill the people who killed mom and dad!" He sits down next to me. "What happens if we don't?"
"Then he's going to go after our friends. Dean already went to Will just to ask him where I was. I don't want anyone else getting hurt anymore." I run my fingers through my hair and stand. "I'm going after them."
"Raven it's to dangerous."

"What other choice do I have?"

"Fine but I'm going with you. What's the address?"

" 970087 Leighton st. We leave after school." We both nod at each other.

Flashback.
"Raven?! Raven help!" I woken by the sound of my mothers voice screaming in fear. I look around and see flames consuming the entire house.
"Mom?! where are you?!" I rush to the door scraping the bottom of my feet. I turn the handle when I feel it burn me.
"Ahh!" I scream holding my hand which is fully red. I take a few steps back preparing to kick down the door. "RAVEN?! JAMES?!" I hear two gun shots go off. "DAD?!" I kick open the door when flames take over the wood floors. I whimper and fall to the ground. Losing vision from the smoke I mange to see two men wearing all black rush out of the bedroom. "NO! DAD! MOM!" Everything goes black.

Sorry for the late update and I've been having a 'writers block' I guess you could say but those of you who are enjoying my book thank you and sorry for all the mistakes when I'm done with the book I'm going to go over it and fix all of them. Thank you.
