"Okay, well - Amethyst is the colour purple right? It's also known to protect those from poison. You protect those from the poison minded, Lydia. You produce the source for us to derive hope from. Perhaps you believed you were an ordinary human - but I feel you know that's not true."
------
"Lydia? She's in trouble. Every human heart here is covered in redstone dust. We know that. Why is her heart chamber made and covered in solid amethyst?"
"She's a nisonomae. She's been slit with that - that thing! There's nothing we can do!"
"Yes there is, Montgomery! There is always a way!"
"Not for this. You need to get over your constant will to save everybody. Not everybody can be saved. We're out, Theo."
"You're giving up hope too, Arden?"
"Our source of hope has been void for a long time. She wasn't even our source to derive from! She was simply a filler. You'll never understand that because you have too much false hope." Arden said sternly, gripping Montgomery hand.
I watched as they turned their back to me, then turning to each other with a smirk. In an instant, Liam ran towards me in his supernatural form (still being contemplated) whilst Arden opened the portal to the hallucination box. Together, they pushed me in.
"No... No, no, NO! What are you doing!"
"Simply filling the void, Theo!" They said in unison, locking the portal with malevolent smiles, red pools replacing the radiant blue.
-----
"You think something's wrong with me?"
"Your heart chamber is literally made out of amethyst. Your eyes are purple. Come on, there's gotta be a connection. Just listen to us!"
"No - you listen to me." She tightly shut her eyes, opening them to reveal her luminous pools of purple.
I thought they were beautiful. I didn't care what anyone thought. I knew I had to make her think something was wrong with her to provoke her into finding her own fix - but I had only hoped we could've ended up travelling to the supernatural portal together. Her heart may be made from amethyst - yes. But, so was mine.
Lydias perspective.
" - This isn't a medical situation that regards you. It regards me. This is not your problem - in fact I don't know why we're all referring to it as an issue! No one had listened to me when I tried to tell them about the changes I was going through -" I paused, turning my back on Theo to wipe away the metallic tear sliding down my face.
"- But I understand now. No one ever had enough hope to deal with a nisonomae that has been slit with the stone."
"That's ironic. The void has admitted to her emptiness." My head snapped to Arden leaning on the black door frame.
-----
- In that moment, every single amethyst stone within the chamber had shattered. I looked up from my crouched position, my fist still locked into the core, to see everyone's eyes drifting from mine to the core I had just smashed. They knew what I had done. I slurred, gripping the surrounding purple dust in my hands attempting to stand up.
