Tatum's POV

Friday. The day I had been waiting for all week was finally here. As I sat in my 5th period math class I kept wondering what I would wear, how the date would go, and a whole lot of other nonsense. I just had to make it through the last 5 minutes of this math class and then my cross country practice and I would be free to freak out over my date.

"Tatum.. pssst Tatum.."

I looked over to my left and saw my friend Alice trying to get my attention.

"What??"

"I heard you got a hot date tonight!"

I quickly stiffened. How would Alice know that? I mean I was friends with Alice but not close enough to tell her I had a date..

"Wha- How did you know?"

Alice winked at me as the bell rang, picked up her belongings, and walked straight out of class.

I ignored that weird incident and headed over to my locker. I quickly changed into my sports bra, tshirt, and spandex, put on my socks and running shoes, and headed out to the track where my team met before practice and prepared myself for the six mile run I had ahead..

*5 hours later*

I opened my eyes. Shit, I overslept. As soon as I got home from school I crashed and I guess I had overslept. 

I picked up my phone to see 5 new messages from Heather, 7 from Thalia, and 1 from Luke. I ignored Heather and Thalia and went straight to Lukes message.

*I can't wait for tonight :)*

I started blushing. Geez, if I was already blushing with just a stupid text, I don't want to imagine my face tonight when I actually see him.

I replied back how I couldn't wait either and quickly began to get ready. I chose a navy blue sweater, my regular American Eagle capris, and Converse. I looked nice. 

As I sat down watching New Girl, my thoughts began to wonder. Would Luke kiss me again? Where was he taking me? Would he want to go on another date after this?

As I began to wonder all these questions my stomach began to feel weird.. but I figured it was just nerves. Right as I began to watch a new episode of Sherlock, the doorbell rang.

Lukes POV

I had been a mess all week. I had dated plenty of girls in the past but none of them really made me feel this nervous. There was something about Tatum that was different..

I raised my hand to the door and knocked twice. Shit, should I have rang the doorbell? I quickly rang the doorbell. Wait, shit.. was I being too annoying by knocking and ringing the doorbell? Shit I am such an idiot.. Shit shit shit..

The door opened and there stood the most beautiful girl I had seen. She didn't have to even try, her hair was normal, she was wearing minimal make up, and she was dressed fairly casual but she still was the most beautiful girl ever.

"Wow Tatum.. you.. you look great!"

She started blushing. Geez I could get used to that. 

"You don't look that shabby yourself Luke." 

She was such a dork.

"So where are we even going?"

I thought of all the places I had contemplated taking her and I smiled proudly and replied, "The fair."

*3 Hours Later*

We had been enjoying ourselves the whole night. I was loving getting to know Tatum. She was the funniest girl I'd ever met and also the smartest and prettiest. She was the whole package.

"Okay so truth or truth?"

"Hmm that's a tough one.. I'm going to have to go with truth."

"Whoa Tatum, being a rebel and choosing truth. Hmm.. Tell me something weird about yourself."

As we continued our dorky game of truth or truth, heading over to the ferris wheel, I found enough courage to hold Tatum's hand.

"Well, okay don't laugh but I'm allergic to ostriches."

"Is that even possible?!"

"Yes!"

"How did you even find that out?!"

"Well long story short... I found out at an ostrich farm."

We were now sitting on the ferris wheel and laughing our asses off at her odd allergy.

Then it got completely silent and she began staring into my eyes.

Shit, Luke, be a man. Do something.

I began to lean in and then quickly wrapped my arms around her forming a hug.

Shit.. I'm an idiot.

Okay I am SOOO sorry I haven't been updating. I was sick and then had finals and I just got back from a long trip. I will be updating everyday this week so please continue voting/reading :) next chapter will be much better/interesting!! I just needed this chapter to lead into the main event for the next chapter hehe okay i swear im updating tomorrow so yeah :)
