I'm Preetham Pulavarthi , 'Down To Earth' is my second book, the first one was 'Alternatia'. I'm an amateur writer.

In this book, the prologue is in 1st person perspective, and the remaining which are yet to be written will be in the 3rd person perspective. I'll release one chapter once a week.

                                                              Prologue - Chapter 0

Earth is such a beautiful place. It's only been a week since I got here and I already love it!

 NO, I'm not a new-born, I'm someone else, I'm something else.

 I have already seen London, Paris, New York and India. Climbed the Mount Everest and took a dip in the Niagara Falls.

Wait, I know what you're thinking, you're wondering if I'm a billionaire, right?

Well, not exactly. I have a job, I mean I at least had one and I was pretty well paid. How well? Hmmm, enough paid to buy HOLLYWOOD with my one week's earnings. What? What's that look on your face? I'm not kidding, its true!

And yeah, maybe I should buy Hollywood. I've seen a lot of movies, yeah, they were pirated to the place where I am from. Don't tell that to the cops now!

Anyway let's get back to what we were talking. What I've told you so far is that, I have a lot of earth money and I had a job.

Oh yeah, my age! Well, I'm a teenager. I look like a 17 year old.

Yes, I said I look like a 17 year old, I'm not exactly 17. It's actually a little complicated.

Ok, I know that now you're very much confused. So I'll tell you what I am. I am a Guardian Angel.

Don't believe me? Why that question-mark face? Okay, fine! I was just pulling your leg. I'm not a guardian angel, I'm actually a devil, I'm not kidding this time.

Don't worry, I'm not a bad guy, not all devils are bad.

Are you thinking what I think you are thinking?

 If I have 'WINGS'? Lol! No, I don't have wings, I used to, but not anymore. Now, I'm more like a common earthling.

You all must have heard of 'Hell' right? Well, it's a purgatory for people who're dead. You know, people die, their souls are taken to hell to purify them and then after that sent to heaven or back to earth, blah blah blah.... All of that is TRUE!

And all of that is taken care by King Yama. He's the entity over there, the 'Lord Of Hell', he kind of makes sure that all the souls are purified. That guy basically, is 'The Guardian Of Directions' and 'The God Of Death'.  Most importantly, he was my 'BOSS'. Not anymore though. I worked for him, my job was to take human souls from earth to hell. Relax! I'm not going to take your soul or anything. My duty was to take dead people's souls. I retired now anyway, I wanted a life for myself, high school, college, friends, fun, you know what we teenagers want.

Yes! I said 'high school' , I'm getting enrolled tomorrow! So, I'm a normal teenager who goes to high school! That's great, isn't it?

Ok, now all of a sudden you're wondering about my actual age? Okay, I'm two and a half million years old. No kidding. But like I said, I look like a 17 year old.

So, now you know most of the things about me.

My name? oh yeah, sorry I was so busy telling you all that and I forgot to tell you my name.
