Chapter 8- WASTE NO MORE TIME

KISSES

I sat down in our spot in the library as I read one of the books we were using as a reference to our project. I felt my phone vibrate beside me so I picked it up and checked who it might be.

'Dark or milk?' -Edward

'What is this about?'- Kisses

'Just answer my question.'- Edward

'Dark.'- Kisses

'Lily or Roses'- Edward

'Tulips are my favorite.'- Kisses

'London or New York.'- Edward.

'Paris. And if you don't get your lazy ass down here, Edward John Barber, you're dead meat.'- Kisses

'Yes, boss I'm coming. Seriously you miss me don't you?'- Edward

'You wish! Not in a million years. I just need someone to share my headache with.'- Kisses

I put my phone down and smiled to myself. Who would have thought I'll be sharing these jokes with that prick, Barber? Yeah he's annoying even up until now but I must admit I like his dry humor from time to time.

But we try to keep this ceasefire away from the eyes and ears of people around us. We don't want to gather much attention. Imagine from the school's greatest rivals! Who would have thought that we can be like this. Even I was surprised.

"Whoa!" I jumped out of my seat upon hearing the sound and as I felt hands grab the sides of my waist. The librarian shushed me and I bowed to her and the students who stared at me, embarrassed. I turned to see Barber trying his best to stop himself from laughing out loud. I hit his shoulder, annoyed at his stint.

"Wow you hit really hard," he said as he massaged the area where I hit him. He sat beside me and leaned over to see the book I was reading. He suddenly closed the book shut and I turned my head to face him.

"What?" I asked.

"I'm bored." He put the book away and I tried to grab it away from him. "Tsk, come on. The project's not due until the end of the year. It's still long way ahead and YOU are already burying your head in these piles of books. Who does that?"

"Me," I answered.

"Exactly! You are the only one who does that!" He flung his hands in the air and I know he is frustrated at the moment.

"I don't like cramming."

"You are not cramming. You are being delusional over a project due for months from now. Come on loosen up."

"Now tell me, how do I do that?" I crossed my arms across my chest and raised an eyebrow at him.

"Let's skip class," he said, smiling brightly at me.

I gasped. "Are you crazy? Skip class?! You must be joking!" I felt like panicking at his suggestion how dare he make such preposterous idea!

"Look at you. You know how people describe you?" He leaned back and placed his hands behind his head to support it.

"What?"
