I was walking home from the Matthews I opened the door expecting my mom to be right there and beating me but she wasn't I into my moms bedroom because that's usually where she is I found a note on her bed and I heard the bathroom sink water running I walked into the bathroom and saw her I gasped I quickly read the note knowing what it meant then I ran to the first place I could think of.....Maya's apartment

Once I got there I knocked on the door "Mrs Hart?" I asked "It's Sam" I said Maya opened the door "my moms at work" she told me "what's wrong?" She asked "t-this" I handed her the note she read "oh my god you're mom she-" Maya started to say "committed suicide?" I asked finishing the sentence "yeah" "we have to tell the Matthews"
Maya told me we ran to the Matthews

"It's Sam and Maya" Maya said as we bursted through the door "have either of you ever heard of knocking?" Matthews asked us we sat down next to Riley "Sam has something to say" Maya said as she gulped she knew how I felt "and not to be mean or anything but he can't be here" I said pointing to Auggie "Auggie go to your room" Mrs Matthews ordered her son Auggie ran up to his room "what is it?"Matthews asked "this explains everything" I told them handing them the note "Sam..." Mrs Matthews started I cried "come here honey" she hugged me I felt Maya tap my shoulder "I'm going to call my mom and tell her what happened" she said I nodded "Sam I'm so sorry" Riley hugged me "thanks Riles" I said a few minutes later Maya came back into the living room "I called my mom and she said she'll adopted you" she said my face literally lit up "really?" I asked "really" Maya told me we hugged

We were at the hospital with Maya's and I guess my mom we were signing papers that said Maya's mom could adopt me we walked back to Maya's place "welcome to the family Sam" Maya mom said "thanks Mrs Hart" I smiled "Oh we made something for you" Maya said as she took my hand and we went to her room "woah this is amazing" I told her as I saw a bunk bed "I call bottom!" I exclaimed Maya laughed "we're sisters I can't believe it!" I said "nether can I!" She exclaimed we hugged again
