"Somebody read that" Matthews ordered us in class "history will be kind to me for I intend to write it" Lucas read "Winston Churchill" "and he did who's going to write their own history here? What is history? I keep forgetting" Matthews said "history is time passing" Riley answered "oh yeah? How much time? Someone once said "100 years from now,all new people" he told years "100 years" I guessed "wrong" Matthews said "you set me up" I glared at him "when should you guys begin to make your own history?" Matthews asked "right now" Maya answered "good so today,we're talking about Winston Churchill" he continued "when the new people come,how do you want them talking about you?" "Nicely?" Riley guessed and I rolled my eyes "how long do we have before history makes its decision about us?" Lucas asked "what if they're writing it down? Farkle asked "doesn't matter chapter 1:introduction please read" Matthews said "There is a comfort in knowing that history is fixed you can no sooner change history than you can change the 9 planets in our solar system from Mercury to Pluto" Riley read "oh!" We all exclaimed "what?" Riley asked "nice job Mr Matthews" Lucas commented "what'd he do?" Riley asked "he just showed us history books can be wrong" Farkle told her "you can change history" "I don't get it" Riley said "how can she not know?" Lucas asked "look at the bird!" Maya and I shouted at Riley in unison she started looking for a bird (which wasn't there) "she doesn't know because she has us" Maya said "the Riley committee" Farkle added "the committee exists to keep certain information away from Riley" I said "like what?" Lucas asked "everything really" Farkle told him "listen this committee can't protect her for the rest of her life she's getting too smart" Matthews said "she's looking for a bird" I stated "well someone's gotta tell her" Matthews said "you do it!" Maya yelled "nah you two do it!" He yelled back "honey?" Maya asked "peaches?" Riley said "see we've all been protecting you from something,y'know Pluto?" She asked "pluto? I love Pluto everybody knows that Pluto's a little cutie-pie,the smallest planet with the biggest heart I love Pluto so much I would kiss it on the face" Riley answered "no doing it!" Maya shouted "then you do it!" Matthews shouted at me "sweetie?" I asked "bubbles?" Riley asked "Pluto isn't a planet anymore" I said slowly "what's that you say?" Riley asked "they made a scientific discovery that Pluto is not a planet anymore" I explained "will you be ok?" "I'm fine I'm to old to flip out over something like that,dad please continue" Riley said ""ok alright guys so we're talking about who we are now, and who we hope to be someday" Matthews continued "how will we write our own history and decide what's important to us?" "They found a 100 year old time capsule in Boston last week could we do one of those?" Farkle asked "I love that idea Farkle,in fact we did one of those when I was in high school we were going to see what became of us in 15 years" he said "wait a minute....we were going to see what became of us right now! We were going to go back and see how much we've changed" Matthews said I looked at Riley "yeah well I wish some of us never do" I smiled

My friends and I were all at the bakery "how can they just do that?" Riley asked "she works her whole life to become a planet,and then it's just taken away from her? Do our hopes and dreams even matter?" Riley asked "well in 15 years we'll find out" Lucas told her "a buffalo nickel?,that's what you're putting in the time capsule?" Maya asked "my grandfather give it to me for-" Lucas started he noticed I was glaring at him "anyway my grandfather have it to me" he said "no,no,no for what? Pappy Joe gave it to you for what?" I asked "don't call his grandfather Pappy Joe" Riley told me "It actually was Pappy Joe" Lucas said "you knew that?" Riley asked "eh it would've been anything I've ever said" I replied "why'd he give you the nickel?,why?" Maya asked "nothing he gave it to me for being a good little boy" Lucas lied "no,no,no tell us" Maya demanded "I was a little kid,I went to a kiddie rodeo,and I was the only one who made it the whole 8 seconds" he told us "you rode a bull?" Riley asked "it was sorta like a bull" he said "here comes funny" I told Maya and Riley "I rode a sheep" Lucas told us Riley,Maya and I bursted out laughing "it's a real thing! It's called a mutton bull!" Lucas exclaimed "Riley you're laughing at me?" "Oh" Riley said and she stopped laughing "I wanted to be a rodeo star,but I got older and gave up on it" he told us "aww don't ever give up on your sheep riding dreams" Mrs Hart said as she walked over to us "you go out there,and you become the best sheep rider the world has ever seen" she said "mom what are you doing?" Maya asked "as long as I'm here,I've decided to give out valuable life-living advice like Cory and Topanga" Mrs Hart answered "so,you all come to me when you're feeling lost in this world,and I'm going to fix you right up" "nah we're good" I told her "don't let your sheep riding disappointment prevent you from dreaming dreams,as I look back at my life,the only regrets I have are the dreams I gave up on too soon" She told us "wow,thank you that's good advice" Lucas said "yes it is" Mrs Hart agreed "hey nice trophy the Farkle" Mrs Hart commented "thanks,the Maya's mom" Farkle thanked "it's my science fair lifetime achievement award" "forget science,you dream dreams!" Mrs Hart shouted "But-" he started "okay!" Mrs Hart said cutting Farkle off "what are you putting in Maya?" Riley asked "nothing,no hopes,no disappointments" she answered "what about you Sam?" Riley asked "nothing like Maya,when you have no hopes,you can't get disappointed" I told her "what about you?" Maya asked Riley "I don't know why it's so important for me to care about something that's so far away,but I do" she said as she held up a little orange ball "I'm putting in Pluto" "well it's small enough ha!" Farkle shouted he laughed and we all glared at him "too soon?" He asked

"Road trip!" Matthews yelled as he walked in with Mrs Matthews and Shawn Hunter "who wants to go instead of me?" Mrs Matthews asked "I'll go,I'll do anything with anybody" Farkle said "no deal,there's not enough room in the car for you and all of your words" Matthews told him "what's this here?" Mrs Matthews asked pointing to the time capsule "this is what we're putting in our time capsule" Riley told her mother "oh" Mrs Matthews mumbled "nope not good enough" Matthews said "these things are important to us" Lucas told him "why are there only three of them?" Mrs Matthews asked "we're not playing!" Maya and I shouted in unison "oh you two are playing!" Matthews yelled at us "nice shovel shirt" Maya commented his shirt "they got plenty left" Matthews told her "I don't see how" I said Shawn and Mrs Hart were having their own conversation until Matthews said "come on! It's a chance to go back and see what time has taught us come on its our history! Matthews cheered "you and me,Feeney,Shawn and Angela" I looked at Maya and saw her eyes widen "gimme a shovel,no reason gimme a shovel and your head" Mrs Matthews said to Matthews I heard Mrs Hart ask Shawn something "who's Angela?" "Oh y'know someone who used to be in my life" he answered "ah yes, well we all have one of those don't we?" Mrs Hart said I couldn't help but think of my dad,and when he left I snapped out of my thoughts when Farkle asked "do you miss her? I know I'd miss Riley,Sam and Maya if I didn't see them for a long time do you think your old feelings will get all stirred up for her? And you'll go back and live wherever she lives?" I grabbed the "Pluto" from Riley and threw it at him Maya high fived me "do you ever miss?" Farkle asked me "Maya,Sam all of a sudden I think we should be going with them" Riley said "do you think we should go?" "We're going with you" Maya announced standing up "alright Katy do you mind if me take this one off your hands for the weekend?" Mrs Matthews asked Maya's mom Mrs Hart nodded "have fun baby girl" she said to Maya I looked down "come here" Mrs Hart said to me she hugged me I smiled "thanks" I said "you're welcome" she smiled back at me "alright girls grab a shovel" Mrs Matthews ordered us "we're digging up the past!" Matthews cheered "yay" Shawn said with no emotion
Time skip..........
We were now in Philadelphia in the backyard of some guys house the girls were digging while the guys were watching us "how is this fun?" Maya asked "you said this was going to be fun" I reminded "how can anybody make this fun?" She asked soon enough Riley skipped over to us "I made one for Maya's head" Riley said putting a flower crown on Maya's head "I also made on for Sam's head" she said as she put a flower crown on my head "you're supposed to be digging" I told her "oh but I was digging for an hour and all I found was this this old metal box" she said holding up the box which was the TIME CAPSULE all of a sudden a flash light was shown and I looked over to see some old guy who I'm guessing is Mr Feeney "Mr Matthews,Mr Hunter we meet again" he told the two,young,grown men "we meet again" "detention?" Matthews asked nervously "big boy detention" Mr Feeney said laughing "I won't do well in big boy detention" Matthews admitted Riley,Maya and I started doing "the Feeney call" "Feeney! Fee-hee-hee-hee- heenay!" Riley shouted "what,what,what,what,what" I yelled "hey,hey,hey,hey,hey,hey" Maya shouted we started to hiss at him like cats "ok let's go" Maya suggested we sat down on a bench after a few minutes Mr Feeney came over at sat between Maya and I "is he a good father,you poor,poor little girl?" He asked Riley "I'm very lucky" she replied "is he a good teacher?" He asked Maya and I "I think he's the best there is" Maya started "but he says you are" I finished he walked away and the Matthews and him were talking for a bit before we left

We were in the living room and Mrs said something to Matthews and she told us.. "Well before we got married,your father met a girl at a ski lodge,and she really liked him" Mrs Matthews explained "Matthews you dog!" I shouted "is this why we never go skiing?" Riley asked the Matthews started talking for a while before Riley,Maya and I went back to Riley's room we were sitting in the bay window "see,life works out better if you don't give your hopes up" Maya said "Shawn will get back together with his ex girlfriend Pluto is not a planet anymore,and my mom and me,will just be my mom and me" "and I'm with you guys,that's all I need right now" I said "Pluto is a planet" Riley stated "sorry Riley but you're the only one who says it is" I told her "you heard them Maya,Sam there was a time when my father was the only one who knew he and my mother would always be together,even when everyone else said they wouldn't,he knew and so do I,and so does your mom,Maya,because she's right dream dreams Maya,Sam you're going to get everything you want in life" Riley told us "how is it possible that you can still have hope for us?" I asked "hey,I have hope for something 4 billion miles away,you two have always been right here" Riley said she put her arms around Maya and I

We were in the bay window we heard a knock on the door "come in Shawn" Riley said shawn came in "how'd you know it was me?" He asked "her family doesn't knock they're pigs" I said Riley nodded "okay" Shawn said he sat down next to us "what?" He asked "y'know how they say Pluto isn't a planet anymore?" Riley asked "yeah,I heard about that" Shawn said "doesn't that kill you?" Riley asked "nope" he told her "Pluto is still out there for me" Riley told him "I don't care" Shawn said blankly the Matthews walked into the room "you weren't afraid to love somebody once" Riley said "yeah well I-I'm done with that" Shawn stuttered "I don't have that,I'm not going to have that" "you are,there's someone out there for you" Riley said "so you're saying Pluto is Angela?" He asked "no I'm saying that Pluto is believing in something out there no matter what anybody says" Riley told him "especially you,because there is" "how are you not getting this yet buddy?" Matthews asked his best friend Shawn stood in front of Maya and I "you believe in me?" He asked "I do" Maya told him "so do I" I said "I don't know what I'm supposed to be for you two" Shawn said "can't you just be out there for us?" I asked "yes,I can do that,I want to do that" he said "what do you call that?" Maya asked "it doesn't matter what you call it,we just wanna know that you're there" Maya told him "okay I'm there" Shawn said

My friends and I were in the bakery "okay I'll go first" Lucas announced "you putting in your sheep nickel huckleberry?" I asked "no,I changed my mind about that,I'm not putting in a reminder of when I gave up up on a dream" he said "so what are you putting in?" Maya asked Lucas held up a subway ticket "a subway ticket?" Riley asked "this is the subway ticket from the day I first met you guys,it was the start of the greatest thing that had ever happened to me" Lucas said "me next" Farkle said "your science fair trophy?" Riley asked "wasn't important enough" he said he held up his turtleneck "your favorite orange turtleneck" Riley said "it was the one I took off when I felt like I was a nothing,but you guys wouldn't let me be a nothing,and since it's us that's gonna be together when we open this,I can't wait to see the something I am" he told us "Riley? Pluto?" Farkle asked "yeah" she said holding up the orange ball "still Pluto,whenever we open this,I hope I haven't stopped believing in things" she said the whole group than stared at Maya and I "ok we'll play" Maya said for the both of us "but,you guys have to leave" she said "your parents and Shawn didn't tell each other what they were putting in,and that's the way we want to do it" I said "we're hoping we'll all be surprised" the boys left Riley got up and stood in front of Maya and I "hey whatever it is,I hope it turns out the way you two want it" Riley told us "us too" Maya said Riley left the bakery Maya and I got up and stood in front of the box "what are you putting in Maya?" I asked she held up a picture of Shawn,her,and her mom from her birthday last year "I really want Shawn to be out there for me,but I know that is not going to happen" she said as she dropped the picture in the box "what are you putting in?" She asked me I held up a picture of my mom,dad and I from years ago before everything went downhill "I know I'm never going to have the perfect family,I'm never going to get my dad to come back,and my mom is getting worse every day,I want a family,people who actually care y'know? I want Shawn to be there for me too but,I don't think he is" I said as I dropped my picture in the box "hope is for suckers" Maya and I mumbled almost in unison we walked out of the bakery
