I can't sleep. I am super duper excited for today! It's Christmas, how couldn't I be excited? I saw all the presents under our humongous tree. I was really excited. Christmas is the best time of the year, because of family is nice and, of course, the PRESENTS!***
Other people may have blankets, or people they hold onto, but me, I have what I received that year. That year I had received what I cherish most. Something i would go a million miles for. Something so meaningful, yet useless. I called him, Mr. Fluffers. He was, is my two feet tall teddy bear. He is missing his brown nose, and his string mouth. He has many wounds that need to be sewn together. He has a splotch of purple paint on his butt. His brown fur isn't as fluffy as it used to be. His red bow tie is faded, worn out, but he is mine and I love him. He, unlike some other male figures, has always been there for me. He was there when I was scared, sad, happy, or any other emotion you can think of.
Today, in real time, I freaked out. I lost him. Mr. Fluffers is no where to be found. I asked my sisters, nothing. My parents, nothing. I don't know what I am going to do. He kept me together, even though he was in a million different pieces. I don't know what I'll do. I mean he was a crucial part of my life. He's gone. He may be a stuffed animal, but he was also way more than that. I'll try the day out, but I doubt it'll get any better.

It's lunch time, and there is already something happening. That something being a new guy at my school. Somehow he ended up in half of my classes. He is surprisingly nice, compared to his dark persona. He has darker hair, darker clothes. His eyes are enchanting. The green colour seems to attract all the attention. I don't know why, but he struck up a conversation with me in Pre-Calculus. Wasn't much, just asking about what we had already covered, but I can't stop thinking about it.
"Hey! Salome! Have you seen the new guy?" Claire, my new found friend, asked.
"Uhh... Yeah. He is in my Pre-Cal class. Why?"
"He's hot. Like crazy hot."
"Claire! You can't say something like that! It's rude!"
Claire shook her head, disagreeing. An argument commences, and continues until I feel a presence on my left side. Claire smiles, scaring me a little. I slowly turn my head, only to stop seconds later as I see black jeans. great. The new guy. He sits down beside me.
"What are you guys arguing about?" He asks, looking at Claire and I. "Spencer," he introduces himself.
"Claire," she smiles. "Aaaannnnddd we were talking about this guy. And Salome was saying that he is incredibly cute." Claire says, grinning evilly.
"Never said that. You were the one to say that he was hot."
"May I ask who this 'guy' is?" Spencer asks, intrigued.
"No." I get in before Claire can say anything. "You wouldn't know him. Sorry." I add a little smile, hoping he will drop the topic.
"I may be new, but quite a few people have caught my attention. Who's to say that he isn't one of them?"
"He isn't. Trust me." I start my sandwich, hoping I won't be interrupted for at least a few minutes.
A couple minutes later after having enough of Claire and Spencer flirting to no end, I excused myself.
I threw my leftover food in the garbage and walked off to the library, my favourite room in this whole school. It's relaxing, calm, and quiet. It's the perfect place to sit down and read a nice book, and that's exactly what I did.
