Chapter 2

The next morning I woke up pretty happy. I took a quick shower while singing to eminem. I got out and went to my closet. I put on some skinny jeans, a white spaghetti strap, a jean vest, and my red Jordan's. I brushed my hair and put a small side French braid for my bangs. I put my contacts on as I went down for breakfast. I grabbed an apple as I headed out with my RipStick. "Bye mom! Bye dad! Gotta go wake up Robert!" I said. "Bye!" They yelled out. I went to the house next door, which happens to be my best friends house, and walked in not bothering to knock. I loved his parents. They helped me fit when I moved here. "Hi!" I said running up to Roberts room. I barged in. "Rise and shine sleeping beauty!" I said opening his blinds. Mine and Roberts windows saw into each other's room. Whenever we got grounded and our phones taken away we would write messages on notebook paper so we could communicate. "Why would you wake me up so early?" Robert said flipping over. I sat on his bed. "Because if you don't start getting ready now, we are going to be late." I said he looked at the time. 7:35. "Shit! Why didn't you come earlier?" he asked grabbing some clothes. Why did he always sleep in his old boxers? I never got that. "Because you live so damn far." I said sarcastically while falling back on his bed. "I asked the crew if they wanted to walk to school with us. They don't live far." He said going into his restroom. "Who is the cre- oh you mean the guys. Ok." I said grabbing his shoes for him. "Mandnaksosl." He said. He was obviously brushing his teeth. "Sorry I don't speak dentist. I said as he came out. "Let's go" He said as he slipped on his shoes. With that, we headed out.

We went to Alex's house and Austin and Zach were there. "Gooooooood morning!" Robert said as we skated in the drive way. "Ayyyy Rob and Julyssa are here!" Zach said. I laughed. "Hey, my mom bought some donuts. Who wants some?" Alex said. I jumped off my RipStick and ran into his house. "Dang JJ! make sure to leave some for us!" Robert said. "Shut up Rob!" I yelled coming out with a donut. "Hey guys, if we don't leave now, we are going to be late." Austin said. I checked my watch. 7:45. "Ok guys lets go!" I said hopping on my RipStick. The guys followed after me with their donuts. I smiled. These guys are going to be my bestest friends.

"And today class we are going to learn about Shakespeare and his writings in Romeo and Juliet." My English teacher said. I was kinda surprised I had the same class with Alex. I didn't notice him. Well me alex and Robert sat next to each other. "Ooooo Romeo and Juliet. The most beautiful, and tragic love story of all time." Alex said. "You now what else is tragic?" robert said. "What?" I asked. "The fact the AC here hasn't asked sarah out." He said laughing. The class turned and looked at me and Robert laughing with a very red Alex. "I'm. -laugh- sorry." Robert said. We calmed down after a while. The bell rang for lunch. "So Julyssa." Alex said. "Please call me something else. I like nicknames better. Ok Alex?" I told him. "Ok I'll call you Julie and you call me AC." he said. "Ok AC." I said "So what's it between you and Austin?" he said. "He's nice. I would like to get to know him better." I said blushing. He laughed. "I could tell." he said.

I grabbed my lunch and went to a table. "What is my best friend doing sitting by herself?" robert said. "Waiting for my homeboys to come eat with me!" I said as the crew came. I noticed this kid come over also. "Yo JJ this is Tyler." Zach said. "Ayo! it's little Tyler!" Austin said. I looked at him and laughed. "Haha Austin. Shut up." he said sitting down. "So is little Tyler going to be chillin with us for now or what?" I asked. "Yeah sure." he said. "Ok so we need some pretty chillin nicknames. Mine is going to be Zach attack." Zach said. We all laughed. "Let's just stick with Zach. Call me Julie. Except for Robert. He calls me JJ." I said. "Why does he get to call you JJ?" Austin said with a pout. "Because he's my best friend." I said with a pout back. The guys started laughing. "She told you what's up!" they said. He was blushing. "Whatever. Just call me Ameezy." he said. "Call me rob." said Robert. "AC!" said Alex. "Little Tyler." said Tyler. "Ok it's settled. We're the crew with our swaggin nicknames." Zach said. I turned to go throw my tray and I could've sworn I saw Austin looking at me. I blushed the way over there.

I had my last class with Austin and Robert. And it was all our favorite class. Music!!! This wasn't like a normal band class with the marching band. It's where students can bring instruments and make music. They even had a recording booth! I brought my violin. I know. A violin, crazy huh? I brought some music out and began to play random notes. I bust out some sheet music and started writing. It sounded beautiful. It reminded me of my birth parents. So I called it siempre en mi corazón (forever in my heart) "hey that sounded pretty cool." I turned to see Austin. I motioned him to sit down. I smiled. "Who wrote it?" he asked. "I did. Just right now actually." I said blushing. "Wow. For reals? what's it called?" he said happily. "Yes. It's called siempre en mi corazón. It means forever in my heart." I said. "It sounds beautiful." He said. "Thanks. It's about my parents." I said looking at the ground. "Charlie and Rosemary?" he asked. "No. My birth parents." I said a little nervous. I don't think he knows I'm adopted. "Oh. So you're adopted?" he asked a little hesitant. "Yeah. That's why I don't have my parents last name. I chose to keep Juarez because it would be like my parents were still with me." I said finally looking at him. "Well that's nice." he said with his amazing smile. Man that smile can make the corn tortillas burn! The bell finally rang and we all met and headed to Robs place.
