Chapter 2

Jaceyon

I walked around outside after standing on the block for almost a half a day. It was twelve am so it was pitch black outside but this was my type of venue. Reminded me of my dark places my mind wandered to and it let me be able to think.
I walked up the street back home as I looked up to the sky and thought of my grandmother I know she was watching over me. After all the fucked up shit I done did she had to be looking out for me. Karma should've been bit me in the ass. I walked onto the porch of my house and lit a blunt before I walked in.
  I smoked away my pain trying to think of how I'm going to make my life right. I want to change everything for my family and do everything I can to make them happy. I want my daughter and unborn child to grow up with a father and I want to marry my babymother take them both out the hood and live the life. I want to change as soon as I can and I'm determined to do so. I smoked the blunt until it turnt into a roach.
   Making my way into the house I found my babymother on the couch knocked out. I picked her up and brought her into the bedroom where I found Kemaji. She was laying there awake sucking her two fingers and playing in her ponytails.
   I swooped her up in my arms "Why you still awake mamas".
  "I don't feel good" she said as she pouted her lip out.

   "Want to come with me and lay on the couch until you fall asleep ?"  She nodded her head as I made my way to the living room and turned on the little box tv we had to cartoons. Kemaji laid her head in my chest and I played in her hair to put her to sleep. Her little arm wrapped around my neck.
   She is the reason I grind so hard, when I first had her I didn't know this little girl would change my life like this. I thought this to myself everyday how much I love this little girl and she honestly is my life. After she fell asleep I stayed up thinking and trying to figure out a way I can get out the game as quick as possible. I got people out here who want me to never leave the game. Threatened that if I leave the game they would do some fucked up shit to hurt me or my family. It was only one way to get and that is by saving up enough to get out of Bedstuy or getting killed which I'm not about to allow.

I woke up to Semaji cooking breakfast the smell of grits and pancakes filled the air all throughout the house. Kemaji was laying down on my chest still.
   "Goodmorning shawtty" I said out loud to Semaji as I stood up then laid Kemaji on the couch and put a blanket over her. I walked into the kitchen and kissed Semaji's head and placed my hand on her small stomach.
   "Goodmorning baby, Im not going into work today so I'll be home. You go anything to do ?" She asked me as she stirred the grits. I leaned on the counter and stared into her eyes.
   "Nah baby I'll be home later though, I got some business to handle"

  "Jaceyon when will this all stop ? I can hook you up with a job at Taco Bell" she whined to me for the 1000th time today.
   "You know I don't want no Boss , and we gonna be making less than we got right now if we both got that petty ass check"

  "You keep saying that but your ass basically got a boss now in a way. Those drugs own you and the feins is ya boss you not getting paid unless the feins let ya ass and that's real talk"

   "Baby I don't want to hear this. I'm getting out of this shit soon I promise you let me just save up enough to be able to get us out of here? We gotta start being tighter on money" I said to her as I pulled her body closer to mine.

  I kissed her neck and she smiled but pushed away.
   "Stop this is why we got two kids already we don't need three yet" she said laughing. She walked away and grabbed the three plates we had in our kitchen then put the grits , sausages and the pancakes all on the plates.  I unfolded the table for her to sit the plates then she unfolded the chairs as I grabbed two pillows for Kemaji to sit on then woke her up.

    After we ate and had a smooth breakfast I kissed them goodbye as I headed out to the block to make my money. Keeping the bigger picture in mind.
