I wake up. I get up and get ready. When I'm ready, I walked to the bus stop. The car didn't pass me this time. I thought that was odd. I got to the bus stop. I waited, and waited, and waited the bus didn't come. I looked at the other kids and they looked at me. I started to walk home. When I got home I texted my mom to call in sick for me because the bus didn't come. I went home and started up my computer and opened up my browser. I went to kissanime and had the goal of catching up on Yuri on ice. It was 7:50 my sister should be waking up by now. But why would I care, I continued watching. I went to check up on her and she wasn't there. I was panicking. Where was she? Did she already go to school? I decided to call her cellphone to find out where she was, it was ringing. I heard the muffled sounds of her ringtone I jumped on her bed and dug for her phone. It was underneath the pillow. I was confused but I assumed she was at school. I guess I was tired because I took a nap.
I wake up to the sound of my ringtone. The jingling tune of k-on's first ED. I looked at it and on the display Suno was calling me. I answered it " Al my parents aren't home!!", she said worringly
"maybe they're at work", I suspected.
"they're not my dad doesn't go to work till 5, and my sisters aren't home either!!"
"can you contact them?"
"NO!"
"Well if their phones are just dead"
"I don't know but we're still gonna go to Edward's place right"
"yeah I'm just gonna walked there"
"same", she said while laughing.
" yeah imma go get ready".
"yeah see ya".
I jumped up from my bed and grabbed my shoes along with my jacket and some jeans, I opened the garage took out my bike, closed the garage and went off. I texted my mom and told her that I was going to Edward's house. I pedaled my bike up and down the sloping hills of my street. When I got to the main street I noticed something. The city was dead. It wasn't like dead bodies strewn around everywhere, it was just empty. There were no cars passing by. No people. No nothing. But the streetlights still worked and the Gas Station still had gas... I thought this was peculiar. I had never seen anything like this. But out of the corner of my eye I saw something from the other side of the street. I looked and I saw Suno waving at me on her bike . I waved back and rode my bike to the other side of the street. "yo",I greeted.
"sup",she replied.
We rode together I to Edward's house and knocked on his door. He didn't open the door. We knocked again he didn't answer. I finally lost my patience and yelled "Ed get your ass to the door".
The door slowly opened and I saw Ed's face with a huge smirk. He laughed and beckoned us to come in. We booted up his console and played some Smash. I won, of course.
Time had past and we lost track of the time. I texted my mom to pick me up. I waited, and waited, and waited. No one came. "my mom should be home by now. Weird", Edward stated.
We stayed silent for a while just on our phones until Suno said," hey my internet doesn't work".
"me neither", Edward added.
I looked up and out the window. There was something in the sky. I looked closer and saw something clear but it reflected a little light. It looked almost like a force field in video games. I asked,"you guys see that giant force field in the sky? ".
"what the", they both said. We looked at each other and ran outside. There was a force field in the sky, and it covered everything, except for one spot. I looked closer the spot and something fell out. The spot wasn't close to us. It was rather far. But the thing that came out flew straight towards us...
