What was it about her? She radiated a sort of energy, a vibe. Working with her was quite easy. Life here wasn't so bad. The short "tyrannical" leader was detached from us and though his actions directly influenced our lives but he always seemed to have a sort of humanity to him. This place was beautiful. The sun seemed to shine with a dimmer more orange tone. The weather here was quite turbulent. Snow had fallen after sunny days and sometimes it was cloudy for miles but there was no rain. Today it was sunny, the sun woke me up. I don't know what it is about my window but the blinds always let through enough light to wake me up. I tried to turn over for another chance to sleep, but it failed. I got out of bed and walked to the bathroom. I opened the door a little but it immediately shut.

"Sorry", I said to the person on the other side.

"Always knock Loe", It was Claire.

"Yeah OK I will", I leaned on the wall waiting till she was done. A couple days had passed since we had went on that patrol. Whenever we go on patrol there's almost nothing there. Susanne talked about an attack a while back but nothing has happened since i've arrived here. But I do look forward to patrol since Claire's there. It was magical the way Claire acted, moved and thought. I was enamored. But something nobody around here talks about is leaving this place. We all know that its a place where we are being kept against our will, but are we? From what I've seen so far this place provides everything.

"Hey", Claire tapped me on my shoulder,"your turn".

"Ok" I replied. When I got done washing my face I went down to get some food.

"Loe! How have you been" It was Susanne.

"I've been good, I mean shouldn't you know"

"Yeah I moniter all your moves" she laughed,"I'm kidding, but the boss wants you to go to meet with him".

"With all this attention I'm feeling like I'm the main character aha", I remarked. Susanne froze for a bit, before shaking herself off and saying,"The main character of something would have powers anyways get going before boss man gets angry".

I nod and get on my way. Walking through the town, it had started to look more lively and bright than when I first got here. I was surprised to see that there was a bustling street with a lot of people walking around, trading and singing. All kinds of things were happening. It made me happy and feel great. But something was pulling me and making me feel as if I had forgotten something.  When I had got to the town hall, the building itself had changed. The big suburban house that was once here was now replaced by a greek-esque government building. Two guards were dressed in light greek robes and holding spears at the door of the building. When I had gotten close enough to them they both looked at me and scanned me up and down with their gaze. I stood there for a while until the doors to the building slowly opened. When inside i encountered two grand stairways that pointed right and left until they both converged in the middle where there was a desk and a podium. There was some shuffling until the boss peeked his head out from the podium. Some more whispers and the boss finally got his head and shoulders above the podium so that I could see.

The boss took a deep breath before saying," I Geoffry Quintanimus IV have yet to introduce you fully to my wonderful town. These first few days were a test of what you were capable of and whether you were a threat to the town of Quintalin. With this passing day, you will be named a citizen of Quintalin and will recieve all the bonuses that such a great town provides".

I was dumbstruck not only at the fact of what just happened but at the fact that the boss', Geoffry's, voice had changed to that of a grown mans.

I started to say,"I accept your graciousness Mayor-", before I was cut off by Geoffry.

"Oh actually if you could say Lord that would be gweat, great", Geoffry said in his regular child-like voice.

"Uh ok, I accept your graciousness Lord Geoffry, and I hope to be of use to Quintalin", I responded.

"With the pounding of my gavel you shall truly be a part of Quintalin!", Geoffry said triumphantly. He pounded his gavel and the two soldiers at the front door came to me and said," Now that the short ceremony is done, uh, you have to leave so that Geoffry can attend to other things".

Still speechless I walked out of the Town Hall into the streets of Quintalin. Quintalin I said to myself, wasn't this supposed to be a labor camp, Probably just a dream. I hurried home, I gotta tell Claire how hilarious that whole thing was.
