One Christmas Day

Epilogue

It was after New Year, and the Christmas break is over. Natalie is back on going to school, the same prestigious school. As usual, people are talking about what they received but the main topic was Natalie's grandiose birthday party. Some who's luckily invited due to their parents' connections, were talking how beautiful it was, how big her house is and the elite people who are invited. Then she heard a girl talking about her and Yule.

"Did you know Natalie got a boyfriend that night? He propose in front of all the guest. I didn't saw his face but I think he was handsome, and he was the younger brother of the biggest toy company owner." told the girl.

"Wow! She's so lucky!" said the other girl.

"When I saw him, I really thought, I wish I am Natalie." another girl said.

"Let's ask her where his boyfriend school is." said the other girl, but the other girl, who's telling the story doesn't approve since Natalie doesn't like talking about her personal life so that people could not gossip about her. But the other girl did not listen and talk to her.

"Hi, Natalie! Um, may I know what school your boyfriend goes?" said the other girl.

"I don't know." she answered. The girl's expression change and leave.

She's telling the truth, since he's probably not even going on any school. She doesn't even know when he'll be back.

The bell rang, and everyone got back on their seats. The teacher entered the room and announced, "Class, we have a transfer student. Treat him well." The teacher gestured to someone outside, "Please come in." Natalie was not paying attention because she has her earphones on and looking outside, on the sky. The new student finished introducing himself. Girls are all hooked to him and as he walk towards his seat, which is at the back of Natalie, they were all following him by look. Then when he reached Natalie's seat, he stopped. He lean towards her and carefully remove his earphones. Natalie then looked at the person standing beside her.

"Hey! I thought you're being a nice girl?" said the guy smiling.

She was shocked and the only word she could say is, "Yule."

"Hi!" Yule said.

"Ok, class calm down, stop staring at him, you'll get a chance to talk to him later. And Yule, please take your sit." And they started the class.

When they had a break, girls started to gather on Yule's seat because they still don't know he is Natalie's boyfriend. Natalie got irritated and stood up from her seat and leave the room. She goes to their cafeteria, then she realize people were talking. When she turns around, Yule kissed her on the lips. She was stunned and her eyes dilated, people were shocked and they were silenced.

"What do you think you're doing?" she said.

"I'm giving a present to my girlfriend, who I've been missing." he answered mischievously. She didn't get to say anything. People started to talk. Yule took her hand and they leave.

They got in the garden on the roof top. Catching her breath, she took a sit on a bench being covered from the sun by the shadow of the pine tree. Then she started to asked, "Why are you here? Don't tell me Santa lets you go to school."

"No, he can't simply let handlers go to school." he answered.

"Then how-" she didn't get to finish her question when Yule answered, "I quit." then he lay down on the bench, his head was on her lap. She didn't say anything but her expression is uneasy. She does not know if she should be happy that he'll be with her always, sad because he will leave his handler life or worried if he was really happy. And then he spoke, "Don't make that face. I have carefully thought about this. And I know I won't regret this, I'll be happy to live a limited life time if I'm with you. I'll be happy to give you presents every day if that would make you smile. I would try to make every single day Christmas just for you."

Natalie smiled, and said "Then I should do the same for you. Would this be enough gift for today?" and she kissed him. As their lips separate, she continued to talk, "You don't have to try, I told you before, as long as you're with me, whatever season it is, for me it will always be a Christmas day."
