"What do you mean you're the prophesied one?" asked Adrian disbelief dripping down his tone.
"Wait, how do you know that you're the one?" asked Darren confusion lining his voice.
Before the mysterious girl could speak Sofia's voice startled everyone - " If you say who you are, then prove it!" Sofia challenged Sabina.
Sabina smiled sweetly at everyone and spoke with an innocent child -like voice,"I am who I say I am because I have this." She slowly lifted her left-hand sleeve up to her shoulders revealing a symbol.
The symbol was shining so bright that it almost blinded her and her companions. However, it was no ordinary symbol and just by staring at it send chills down Sofia's spine. Sofia shivered as Adrian looked at her worriedly.
"You okay?" he whispered.
"Yea, I'm fine, I just don't have a very good feeling about this" she whispered
He nodded giving her the confirmation that he was feeling the same thing as her.
The more Sofia stared at the symbol the more dimly it glowed as if losing all of its brilliance as Sofia continued to stare at it. The more she stared at it the more it unfolded to her. It was more like a spider crawling through Sabina's skin and stretching it's evil long legs through her mind trying to get control over it. She fought with it furiously until she felt its hold slacken and eventually give up. She could just only hope that it hadn't done the same to her companions. Then she heard an agonizing whimper - she turned to the direction of the sound. Her friends and her family were writhing in pain and Sofia could just only watch - panicked, helpless, unable to do anything but be forced to watch.
She was frozen in fear, unable to move or speak while her companions were squirming in misery. Sofia felt Sirak's gaze on her. His cruel black eyes gazing deep into her soul.
"The symbol didn't have an effect on you" Sirak stated and he took a step forward and Sofia pushed herself further back into her chair. " Hmmm, how come I wonder?"
"Father, I think we should eliminate her, she might pose a threat to our plan" Sabina smiled devilishly - the sweetness and innocence gone like it never existed.
Sofia shook her head in realization, " you aren't here to help us are you? Unless you're ......" Sofia couldn't finish the sentence as fear tried to strangle her from keep on talking.
"Ahh, you catch on quick young princess, I like that" Sirak hissed as he harshly yanked her out of her seat.
Sofia swallowed back the pain as he dragged her to Sabina. Sabina took her hand and gave her a "you fool" look and bent her arm the wrong way. Sofia screamed in pain as she tried to call the guards for help but stopped when she saw them on the ground fast asleep.
"What have you done to them?" Sofia demanded as she struggled in Sabina's arm.
She watched helplessly as her beloved family continued to struggle as Sirak did whatever he was doing to them.
"You're a crazy follower of Vultan, you bastard!" Sofia yelled, " You're going to regret this when this is all over!" she screamed as she continued to struggle to Sabina's iron grip on her.
Then Sirak turned very sharply and took very slow agonizing steps towards her as he whispered in her ear, "honey, this is just the end of the beginning"
