When Sofia woke up from her dreamless sleep, the first thing she noticed was the outfit that was sitting on the corner of her bed. On top of it, there was a wooden box about the size of a normal jewellery box. It was made out of Cherrywood that had detailed carvings embroidered on it. As she moved to open it, that's when she noticed the golden bell that was sitting on the side of the outfit. Out of curiosity, she rang the bell, however, it did not make the normal sound a normal bell would so instead sweet music flowed to Sofia's ears. It was truly amazing as Sofia giggled like a child and started playing with the bell.
Then the doors opened as a man walked in. He was in his late fifties as he was wearing a normal black suit with a white shirt and a black bowtie. In a way, he kind of looked like Batman's butler Alfred. He had graying hair and had an eye-catching mustache.
Sofia was taken aback by his clothing, she thought they would be wearing medieval clothes not suit, and shirts with polished black leather shoes! Now that she noticed she didn't actually pay attention to the people's appearance nor what they were wearing, but she certainly didn't expect them to wear modern clothes as they were Kings, Princes, and Princesses!
"Hello, there your majesty! that name's Bernard, the king's butler. Did you have a good rest?" Bernard asked as he smiled at Sofia while he held out a hand for her to take.
Sofia gratefully took it and replied, "Yes, it was a very good rest indeed"
The butler nodded as he grabbed the supplies and he led her out of the infirmary and through the maze of corridors of the castle. Sofia looked around saw portraits of many people she didn't recognize and guessed they would previous rulers of this land of Sylvias.
"Now I'm taking you to your room, where you'll get refreshed and dressed as you are still in clothes from the other world which will, by the way, crumble into ashes in about an hour," Bernard said it ever so calmly as if it was the most normal thing ever.
On the other hand, Sofia was shocked! "What? Why would my clothes crumble into ashes?"
Bernard chuckled at the expression on her face, "It's because the power pressure in Sylvias is different compared to what it is on earth. Those materials that the clothes are made of aren't designed to withstand the amount of power in this world so as a result, they crumble to ashes"
Sofia looked down at her clothes. She was still wearing her pajama that her adoptive auntie gifted her. It was hot pink that had cute pandas and love hearts on it. Her cheeks turned slightly pink as she was mildly embarrassed by it as this slightly exposing the childish part of her.
However, she tried to forget the fact and continued to look around as she absentmindedly fiddled with the heart shaped pendant of her necklace...
They went under a beautifully wooden curved archway as they took a sudden right turn and stood in front of a wooden door that had roses carved on it.
She looked at Bernard and he gave her an encouraging nod, so she turned the door handle and entered her new room.
Her mouth hangs open as she was gaping like a fish at the site. Her bedroom was massive, with a queen bed that sat in the middle of the room with comfortable pillows all around it.
"Th-this is my room?" Sofia could not wipe out the shocked expression from her face.
There was a soft chuckle at the corner of her room as a lady appeared within her sight. She was wearing a simple yet beautiful blue summer long dress. The simplicity of the dress was what made her look more beautiful. She had her long dark hair in a tight bun as her kind brown eyes gazed at her kindly making Sofia smile in return.
