CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO ;
October 2nd, 2016

"Eleanor, stop fussing, you look fine!" Grant groaned for the 10th time in the last hour. He wanted to tell her she looked something other than fine, but he was still lost on where they stood, relationship wise.
"I wanna make sure I look good." Eleanor replied, running her hands through her hair again. She wanted to make a good impression with The Flash cast as she had never met them before.
Grant threw his head back against the couch and crossed his arms, "You look good, you always look good." He mumbled
With a sigh, Eleanor walked away from the mirror, a slight red glow on her cheeks, and sat next to Grant, "When are they getting here?"
"I don't know," he shrugged, "Carlos said they were close, but that was like 10 minutes ago." Grant replied, picking up a strand of Eleanor's hair, twirling it with his fingers
They sat in silence for a few minutes, until Eleanor broke it. "My sisters' birthday is tomorrow." She said, grabbing her hair back from Grant, then putting her head on his shoulder
Grant frowned, "So you're leaving tomorrow? But you literally just got here!" He exclaimed, putting his head on top of hers, "I don't want you to go yet."
She smiled, "No I'm not leaving. I'm gonna call her." She told him, "I just wanted to tell you in case you heard me talking at 4am."
    "Oh, okay, for a sec-"
"Hello love birds!" A loud voice boomed from the doorway
Grant let out a groan, "Please come in, break my door." Grant mumbled, getting up off the couch to great his friends
"Carlos!" Eleanor smiled, quickly jumping off the couch to hug him
"Eleanor!" He laughed, hugging her back
The remaining two members of team flash, Danielle and Candice, walked in from behind the hugging duo, Candice shut the door once they got inside.
"It's so nice to finally meet you!" Eleanor smiled, sitting back down onto the couch after she had hugged the two women
"It's so nice to finally put a face to a name. Grant doesn't stop talking about you." Danielle smiled, petting Nora as she walked by
Candice and Carlos mumbled in agreement, saying something along the lines of , 'he never shuts up about you.'
Eleanor blushed, looking over at Grant who had a slight redness to his cheeks as well, "You talk about me?" She asked him
"I mean, I yeah. You're awesome." He stammered, cheeks glowing a brighter shade of red
The two stared at each other for a second before Carlos cleared his throat, "So, how about a board game?"

After many rounds of Monopoly, which Eleanor totally won, but if you ask anyone else, she totally cheated, Eleanor's three new friends said their goodbyes. Eleanor promised the girls she'd make plans with them soon for a girls day.
"So what do we do now?" Ellie asked as she handed Grant the last dish to dry. She looked over at the clock, "It's 7:35, so we have plenty of time to watch a movie before you get sleepy." She teased
Grant let out a small chuckle, "I do have a 9pm bedtime, but I'm down to watch a movie, if you let me pick."
Eleanor nodded her head, "That's fine, just nothing stupid."
After drying off their hands, Eleanor putting sweats on, she took the spot on the couch next to Grant, who had already put a movie on, "So what did..." she trailed off after seeing the opening credits, "Absolutely not."
Grant let out a laugh, placing his arm around her shoulder, "I paid 50 bucks to watch this, we're watching it."
Eleanor let out a groan, "But X-Men Apocalypse, really? I don't wanna watch myself!"
"Then you can hide your eyes in my shoulder just like if it was a scary movie." Grant replied, eyes glued on the screen, a small smile on his lips
Fifteen minutes into the movie, Jean Grey made her appearance, causing Ellie to groan and shove her head in Grants shoulder.
Grant let out a loud laugh, "It's really not that bad." He rubbed his hand down her back, "I think you're great."
Eleanor picked her head up, "You're right, I'm awesome," she looked at the screen, "but my American accent is not."
"I think you sound great, I'd totally believe you were American."
Ellie rolled her eyes, "Mhm sure." She was about to place her head back on his shoulder, but Grant stopped her
"I mean it, Ellie, I think you're great." He said in a whisper, moving some hair behind her ears
Eleanor smiled, leaning forwards, pressing a small kiss on his cheek, "I think you're pretty great too, G."
