Grindelwald sat in his jail cell. The moonlight slipped though the barred window and landed in a puddle on the floor. Magic was in the air tonight. He sensed that this night was different. It would be the night he escaped.

He heard footsteps echoing in the hall, and a voice calling out from behind the door.

     "Grindelwald? Are you here?"

"Who are you? How did you get in here?" Grindelwald's creaky voice cut though the air and went to the other person's ears.

"I slipped past the guards, and I'm here to break you out. I'm Leta. Leta LeStrange."

A girl's face appeared before the window in the door. Her brown eyes stared intently at Grindelwald, and he returned her stare.

"Are you a dark wizard?" Leta whispered.

     "Of course." Grindelwald muttered.

Leta help up her wand and put it against the door lock. She whispered a spell, and the door creaked open. Grindelwald stood up slowly and walked over to Leta.

Grindelwald swiftly grabbed Leta's wand from her hand and pressed it to her forehead.

"Why have you come here?" Grindelwald hissed.

"I- I've come to r-rescue you." Leta choked out.

     "Why?" Grindelwald whispered menacingly.

"I-I had a dream that y-you would c-c-come back, and I'm ma- mad at Newt Scamander." Leta croaked.

"Don't say that name in front of me! Now... Why would you trust a dream?"

     "I- I can d-dream of the future!"

Finally, Grindelwald pulled wand away from Leta's head. "Fine. Then let's get moving."

He beckoned Leta into the cell with him, and closed the door.

"What are you doing!? Now we're trapped here!" Leta said.

"Quiet, girl. I'm working on it." Grindelwald snarled, as he pointed Leta's wand at the cell wall. He muttered a spell, and a blast of light came out of the wand. The wand blasted a hole in the wall.

"Well, girl, we haven't to all night. Let's go!" Grindelwald said.

"Um... That's my wand..." Leta trailed off.

"Not anymore." Grindelwald hissed, as he slunk off into the night, with Leta following reluctantly behind him.

  ...

Jacob and Tina were both asleep in the apartment. Newt was lying on the couch, pondering the visit with Leta. Queenie was baking in the kitchen. If you've never seen Queenie bake, then you've never been truly amazed. All the ingredients were floating in the air, and everything blended together into an apple pie.

"Newt? Do you want a slice?" Queenie asked as she cut a slice from the pie.

     "No, thank you." Newt moaned.

"Sweetie, do you want to talk about her?" Queenie asked gently, trying to refrain herself from reading his mind.

"No." Newt hesitated. "Fine. You can read my mind."

Leta was a Hufflepuff in Hogwarts. So was I. On the first day of school, we became best friends. She was interested in magical beasts as well! I thought she was perfect... She wasn't. In my 7th year, and half-way though, she smuggled in a new beast. I told her not to do it, but she experimented on it anyway. The beast broke free one night, and it attacked a student. The student was injured, and the school wanted to know who did it. Instead of letting my best friend get expelled, I took the blame. I got expelled, and I never saw Leta again... until tonight.

"Oh. Ok, that makes sense. Newt, just one more question. How did you keep your wand?" Queenie asked.

"Leta stole it before it could be broken. After I left, she mailed it to me. I think it was her way of saying sorry."

"Ok. Well, good night Newt." Queenie finished her slice of pie, and left to go to bed.
