Seven

They arrived home and as per usual, there was no sign of their parents. Humail went straight up to his room to sleep like they had guessed he would do. Steph and Laila went straight to the couch to watch TV, Sophie went to go take a shower and Abbie went up to her room to get ready to work on the presentation. She had no clue of when Chanyeol was going to arrive but was hoping he would text before he did. Steph and Laila were too busy arguing over the TV remote to hear the doorbell anyway which was why Abbie moved to sit in the front room. It was quite amusing for her to watch them argue.

"I've been waiting all day to watch it!" Steph yelled trying to pull the remote out of Laila's grasp.

"And I haven't?!" Laila turned around to stop Steph from reaching it.

"Laila!!" Steph stomped her foot and tried walking around her.

"Didn't I watch a movie with you yesterday anyway?!" Laila turned once more and Steph bumped into her landing on the couch backwards.

"Why do you keep replying with questions?!" Steph got up and back hugged Laila to try and reach the remote that way.

"Why are you still trying?!" Laila tried to squirm her way out of Steph's tight grip.

"Because I wanna watch the TV!!!!" Steph screamed and from the force of the grip Laila lost her balance and so did Steph causing them to fall sideways onto the floor.

Abbie sat on the far end of the couch bursting with laughter as she watched them try to get back up but push each other back down still reaching for the remote. Just then, she heard the doorbell go off. Getting up from her seat she stepped over her sisters and walked to the front door. Opening it she saw Chanyeol smiling and holding his school bag. She stepped aside so he could walk in after they greeted one another.

"I may have angered your neighbour's dog by accident just saying," Chanyeol ruffled his hair and walked into the front room.

He walked in to see Laila and Steph still wrestling on the floor.

"Um..." Chanyeol looked at Abbie for an explanation.

Steph and Laila stopped wrestling for a second and saw Chanyeol standing there. The position they were currently in did not make it better. They both had their hands around the other's neck and Steph was on top of Laila.

"Meet my sisters... Laila and Steph," Abbie pointed from Laila to Steph who then let go of each other and stood up.

"I'm Chanyeol," Chanyeol who was a little bit scared waved to them.

"We're not usually like this," Laila spoke quickly as she straightened her outfit.

"Only when we both want to watch TV," Steph added laughing and Laila hit her arm lightly. "Which is rare!" Steph added and Laila nodded in approval.

"We'll be going now..." Laila grabbed Steph's wrist and started walking out of the room.

"But I still want to watch TV!" Steph whined in the background after they had left the room.

"The presentation stuff is all on the table," Abbie acted like nothing happened and took a seat.

"Those two were just joking right?" Chanyeol asked pointing behind him slightly confused.

"Just sit down Chanyeol..." Abbie sighed and picked up her pen.

Abbie and Chanyeol had only taken half an hour to finish the presentation off and were just talking for the rest of the time he was over. They were in the middle of talking about one of Chanyeol's friends when he suddenly stopped. He had stopped talking because someone had just entered the room and they caught his attention almost instantly. In the doorway stood Sophie staring right back at Chanyeol.

"Sophie this is Chanyeol and Chanyeol this is Sophie," Abbie interrupted the awkward silence by introducing them to each other.

"Hey... I was gonna watch TV but I guess I'll wait til you two are done," Sophie said turning around to walk away.

"No!" Chanyeol stood up as he yelled for her to stop.

"No?" Sophie turned around and Chanyeol's eyes widened realising what he had just done.

"I mean... we're done. You can stay we've been done for a while now," Chanyeol gave a small smile while he picked up the papers occupying the seat next to him on the sofa.

"Yeah we are so I'm going to go put all of this away into my bag. I don't trust you holding onto 30% of our grade," Abbie muttered beginning to pick everything up.

"Wait, we're being graded on this?" Chanyeol made a funny face as he sat in deep thought causing Sophie to giggle.

"She's just joking," Sophie patted Chanyeol's shoulder and sat down in the seat he had cleared for her.

"She's not," Steph appeared in the doorway suddenly.

"Wait what?" Sophie stopped smiling and had the same face Chanyeol currently had on.

"Oh Steph you're here. You can help me carry all of this stuff upstairs," Abbie transferred the pile of papers in her hands to Steph's.

"But I was on my way to the kitchen," Steph frowned as she looked down at the papers she was now holding.

"Too bad," Abbie said walking out of the room carrying everything else.

Steph sighed then followed her sister.

It didn't take long for Sophie to remember why she had originally walked in and she started looking for the TV remote.

"Looking for something?" Chanyeol noticed Sophie searching.

"Yeah just the remote for the TV," Sophie mumbled looking on the floor.

Sophie then got up and looked around where the TV was located in the room. Chanyeol decided to help her and stood up scanning the floor once more in case she had missed it. They spent a few minutes searching until Sophie sat back down and shrugged.

"I blame Steph," Sophie slouched back in her seat.

Chanyeol also gave up and sat back down on the couch. As soon as he did the TV suddenly lit up and turned on. Chanyeol looked down towards his lap.

"Found it..." He mumbled.

After spending another hour at their house Chanyeol decided it was time for him to leave. He had spent that hour watching TV with Sophie then Abbie came back and joined them. Sophie enjoyed hanging out with Chanyeol and learnt how he and Abbie bonded over music.

She also couldn't deny that he was sort of cute. Abbie went to shower so Sophie showed Chanyeol to the door.

"I hope that dog's still not angry," Chanyeol put his jacket on and peeked through the door.

"What dog?" Sophie asked, slightly confused.

"Your neighbour's dog. I was going to pet it but it didn't like me touching it apparently, and started chasing me. But it was tied up to the fence," Chanyeol explained.

"The neighbours don't own a dog..." Sophie hoped there was a punchline to this joke.

"Then what dog was I petting?" Chanyeol looked down at his hands in disgust.

"That might have been a stray? You might want to wash your hands," Sophie took a step away from Chanyeol.

"What? You think I got rabies?" Chanyeol looked worried.

"How much did you touch 'the dog'?" Sophie asked, suddenly curious. Chanyeol didn't reply but rushed past her to wash his hands in the kitchen. "A lot I'm guessing."
