~Sams pov~
"BYEEEEE!" Everybody on stage and off stage shouted as our group exited. "Whew!" I wiped a drop of sweat of my glossy fore head. "Did you have fun up there?" I felt my dads tinny palms land on my shoulders and pulled me closer. "AH HELL YA!" Jack giggled ,"Good I'm glad."
"Can we go eat?" I whined to my mother and father as I grabbed my stomach. "Ya sure sweetie, where too?" "ANY PLACE WITH FOOD!" I tugged both parents hands and forced them into the bright sun. "It has to be kinda quick, me and Mark have a pannel in two hours."
"How about Alison's! They have burgers and ice cream!"
"Fine by me."
"Same here"
"Looks like we're going to Alison's."
We were all silent looking out all the windows of the car. "Never knew there was so much stuff in America." I said quietly. "Ya some interesting things." My mom said turning to look out my window. "How do you like it here?" My dad tore his eyes off all the sights to look at us. "It's a lot more louder here and more events then Ireland." I shook my shoulders up and down. "Ya a it's fun to visit but I'd miss the quietness and beauty of Ireland." My mom grabbed our hands and held them tight." Ya I guess your right." My eyes directed themselves back out the window and the soft pitter patter of rain filled my ears.
"Ya, I would really miss the rain" I whispered to myself. I've always loved rain. It's always raining in Ireland and that's the first thing people ask me when I come to America " Ugh aren't you sick of the rain!?" I don't really have friends to express my problems to so whenever I feel stressed or sad or angry I can always go to my good pal Mr. Rain.
I love the way the rain falls perfectly on my nose and how it contrasts with the color of the grass. I love how the rain gives things life. I love how it makes mud to play in. My favorite thing to do is walk home in the rain. Most people hate it and pull up a umbrella, I just love to feel the cold drops on my skin and see how drenched my boots and legs can get.
I remember one spring day my parents took me up to grandpa and grandmas to spend the week there. I would wake up early in the mornings just to go walk out in the meadow forest.
One morning it started raining and I can remember laying out in the middle surrounded by tall grass. I closed my eyes and just directed all my attention to one drop and imagining the splat on my skin.
I stayed out there so long that everyone started looking for me. Hours went by and the rain hadn't stopped and the tall grass hid my body. I fell asleep in that peaceful meadow but was awoken with a wet dog nose on my cheek. "WE FOUND HER!" I heard a burly man say. I looked up In confusion as my family rushed towards me and huddled around me. "I BET SHES FREEZING! WE MUST HURRY AND GET HER INSIDE!"
"Huh? Cold? No. I'm fine it's barley even cold out here." They carried me back to the cabin and gave me a huge mug of hot coco. I was soaking wet so they made me a good ol hot bath. It felt nice. It felt as if I was swimming in hot coco river and since I still had the taste in my mouth it made it even more realistic.
"Sam?" My dad snapped me back into reality. "Oh sorry, what did you say?" I looked into his ocean blue eyes. "We're here." I opened the door and gave my thanks to the driver.
"Geez you look like you just woke up" I looked at nova," No, I was just in deep thought." " Oh." We made our way to the door and I held it open for all the people coming in. We chose the biggest table and orders their freshly made burgers and fries. I got a big chocolate sundae to dip my fries in. "Eww, why would you mix the two?" Nova said in disgust. "
"Have you even tried it?"
"No"
"Then shut up and try one."
I shoved the ice cream dipped fri into her mouth. "Holy shit." "See I told you, you fuck" "Ya you tell her!" Mark cheered me on. "Ugh shut up and let me eat MY new invention, Ice cream covered fries." "Fight me bitch." I gave all my sass. "Geez someone is sassy today haha." I giggled to and are my fries.
After we ate we headed back to the con and Mark and Jack started their panel with Bob and Wade.
