003 - mortal meets immortal

II.

It's been two weeks since school started and I still haven't seen that weird guy yet. I'm just walking around the campus alone heading to the cafeteria, Bella didn't attend school today because she's sick. My stomach is growling and I think I really need to get a food. I continued walking and suddenly a stranger guy hit my shoulder that caused my books to fall out of my arms, "Hey, can you please watch where you going? Be careful!" I yelled as I pick my books on the ground.

"I-I'm so so—" A guy with a blonde hair, not that tall, slightly chubby and wearing a jacket gazed at me, "You're Bellissima Swan, right?" he asked smiling. I shot him a look of annoyance and widened my eyes when I heard that he already knew my name. I glared at him, "Uhm... yeah. How did you know?" I bit my lower lip as I look downwards.

He was about to answer my question but a female voice came up behind and squeezed between us. A girl with a brunette wavy hair, she's actually a kind of possessive but also a kind of pretty, flashed me, "Hey, you're the new girl from Phoenix!" she exclaimed. "Hello, I'm Jessica."

"And, I am Mike!", the guy added.

"Yes, uhm... please just call me Ellis." I explained in a rush, "Aren't people in Phoenix supposed to be tan?" Jessica asked creasing her forehead. "Uhm... yeah, guess why did they send me out..." I replied. They chuckled awkwardly.

"I was about to go to cafeteria to get some food?" I said, Mike smiled crossing his arms "M-me t—" Jessica interrupted Mike before he can finish what he's saying, "We're actually going the same place! Wanna come with us?" she immediately bounded to my side and linked arms with me, she held my hand and squeezed it, looked at me smiling, "Sure." I said confused.

We reached the cafeteria and grabbed some seats, "What're you gonna eat?" Jessica questioned, "Uhm... I'm seriously craving for sandwich for like three days." Mike and Jessica laughed, "That's awful." Mike exclaimed with a glumly look.

"Yeah, really." I murmured.

Jessica went off to get us some
snacks. All of a sudden, a geek guy with a longish hair that some of his hair is falling a little over his eyes, wearing a black polo approached us, "Hey, hey, hey! How's it going?", his eyes passed me and narrowed his eyes at me, I can see in his facial expression that he's surprised, why is that so?

"Oh hi, Bellissima right?" he exclaimed. Mike glared at me, and it's honestly getting awkward again and I hate that feeling. I really do wonder why they know my name and I don't have an idea how did they knew me.

I nodded, "I'm Eric, the eyes and the ears of this place.", Mike gave Eric a death glare, "Hey Eric, meet my home girl Ellis." He's about to put his arms on my shoulder and suddenly the guy that complemented our car yesterday run through me and surprisingly kissed my cheeks without my compromise, "Mine!" he exclaimed as he run again through the table where his friends are sitting.

"What a freaking bastard! You should go get a goddamn life." I yelled, they were shocked when they heard what I shouted. The friends of that stranger guy who stolen a kiss from me laughed all the way at him. I glared at them and I rolled my eyes, I feel so humiliated. Ugh.

Jessica returned with a tray full of food and sat beside me, "It's first grade all over again and you're the shiny new toy." she whispered, passing sandwiches and drinks around the table. "His name's Tyler." Jessica added and I forced a smile and said, "I didn't even asked for his name."

Suddenly a flashbulb blinds me and I glanced at the photographer, the one who's holding it is a girl with a petite body, wears glasses, and has a black hair. "Sorry, needed a candid for the feature..." she said, "Feature's dead, Angela. Don't bring it up again." Eric replied instantly, he looked at me and said, "I got your back, baby." he added.
