Aurora stood in the doorway of the restaurant, one of the waiters followed soon after her, demanding for the bill to be paid. She twisted her bag round on her shoulder and handed the waiter enough money to cover the bill, though her eyes were still searching for Tommy. She paced around a few steps, before a shadow caught her eye. It was Tommy. He started running towards her, and she ran towards him. As their two bodies met, he grabbed her tightly and held her close to him. If this was all the time he had left with her, he wanted to make it count. He could feel her tears through his shirt, and squeezed her tightly, he didn't want to let her go. Aurora could feel Tommy's breath quicken, a clear sign that he was crying. She let go slightly, and pulled backwards, his tears had merged with her hair, already drenched from the rain, creating a sticky mess, but she didn't mind.

It was dark now, and it was still pouring it down with rain, Tommy and Aurora were still holding each other in the parking lot of the restaurant.

"Did you want to go home now, princess?" he whispered softly into her ear, and then pulling back. He looked into her eyes, but she couldn't look at him straight. He placed his finger under her chin, forcing her to look him in the eye,

"Princess?" he reinforced.

She smiled, she was his princess, and he was her prince. Nothing could ever change that.

"Sure," Aurora replied, she wasn't sure what else she could say. He took her hand, and held it tightly, the restaurant wasn't far from their block, it was only through the park and across a couple of roads. Tommy took off his jacket, and wrapped it around her, even though she hadn't complained that she was cold, he didn't want to her to be cold or get wet from the rain.

Halfway through the park Tommy stopped, and turned Aurora to face him. He wrapped his arm around her waist, pulling her closer. It was almost pitch black, he reached his other hand down, and squeezed her bum. Aurora laughed softly before pressing her lips into his. Kissing in the park had always been one of her favourite things to do, especially when the stars were watching in the sky, and he knew that. After a few minutes of kissing under the stars, the pair walked through the rest of the park. The roads were still busy, even though it was late.

Tommy held Aurora's hand a lot tighter than before, he'd always hated roads, he never drove on them either. Tommy had never actually learnt to drive. As they got closer to the outskirts of the city, the amount of cars lessened and Tommy became less worried. He started to chill out, even dancing in the roads with Aurora. A few steps onwards they decided that they were nearly home, they could mess around in the roads, there weren't any cars at all. Tommy stopped and watched as Aurora twirled around in the road ahead of him. His senses had lessened, and he wasn't paying much attention to the roads.

Suddenly a car came speeding round the corner, Tommy looked at it, heading right in Aurora's direction, but her twirling had made her too disorientated to see it coming. He ran towards her, and as she regained her balance, she saw him running towards her. She still hadn't seen the car,

"Tommy! What are yo..."

He pushed her hard by the shoulders, out of the way of the car, but he wasn't as lucky. The car had hit him, in a side in collision, throwing him across the road. The car carried on driving, evening speeding up as it drove away. Aurora screamed, and ran towards Tommy's curled up body on the gravelly road. There was a pool of dark crimson blood surrounding one of his legs. Aurora threw off his jacket and scrunched it up, placing it under his head. She scrambled for her phone in her back and called an Ambulance, bending down at Tommy's side. Tears streamed down her face and she positioned herself behind him. She moved his head onto her lap, and stroked his cheeks.

"Tommy! Speak to me baby!" she shouted at him, as if he would be able to hear her any better.

"You'll be okay Tommy, the ambulance is coming, you're going to get help, I promise you'll be okay."

Aurora couldn't hold back the tears, and they rolled off her cheeks onto his face in her lap. She kissed him on the lips, the blood on his transferring to hers. She didn't know what to do or say, and it was all her fault. If only she'd seen that car, if she hadn't been messing in the road. A million thoughts rushed through her head...

If only...
