Missing (Marshal p.o.v)

"Ouch," I hit my elbow against my drumset as I looked for my lyrics sheet. "Aw man are you kidding me right now," I said as I rummaged through empty ketchup bottles, music equipment, magazines and my dog. I geuss I should clean up the place but no one comes over anyways. But at times like these, I wish I had a maid or something. "Hey Fang you wanna find my song lyrics," I said to my dog. He was the only other person who lived here with me. He barked and went into another room. Later he returned with...my lyrics! "Good boy," I said patting his head. I picked up my bass and read the lyrics aloud. "Will you hate me forever, baby I just wanna be with you. In this one sided crush girl I love you." I had started this song after I met a certain girl that blew my mind. I had never met anyone so amazing, beautiful and smart. It had always been a one sided crush though.

"BRIIIIIIIIIIIING" the telephone rang. I put my bass down and flew over to pick it up. "Hey Marshol Lee, I need your help!" Fionna said on the other line. I smiled and my heart jumped "Well good morning. Still want that first date?" I replied in a sly tone. I loved messing with her. She was so cute when she was confused. "Marshal! This is serious dude. Do you mind if I come over later? Or like right now or... whatever!!" She said in a panicky tone. I had never had anyone come over to my place. I wasn't sure about this. "Look, If its such a big deal why don't you ask your gumwad boyfriend?" I said. She was silent for some time. I almost thought she hung up until I heard her say, "He's missing." I honestly didn't care where that guy went. This was becoming a less interesting conversation and I said, "Look Fi, I don't care. What do you want from me?" And hung up.

I walked over to my bass and looked at the phone. Then at my bass again. "Ugh don't do it Marshal, do NOT call her back. I picked up my bass and wrote down some more song lyrics.

I heard a knock at the door and put my bass down. I was getting tired of all these interuptions. I flew downstairs and opened the door. She stood there with her green backpack on with cake standing by her side. She had her hair down today revealing long blonde hair down to her feet. She wore an annoyed face. "Sup Fi," I greeted her casually. She squinted her eyes at me and crossed her arms. Cake copied her actions. "Not cool dude," she said and punched my arm.

I forgot sometimes how strong she was. "Ouch, why so mean?" I said smiling and trying to ignore the pain in my right sholder where she hit me. "Gumball's missing and all I asked was if you could maybe look for him with me and you hung up on me. I thought I was your friend," she said getting teary eyed. "BUT FINE YOU JERK! I'll find him myself." Cake wiped a tear away from her left cheek. As cold and dead as my heart was, I hated seeing her cry. I stood startled. "Look..." I was at a loss for words. I didn't know how to say this. She turned and walked away. "FIONNA!" I called. What was I doing? She was leaving and I could finally write my song without distractions. Why did I care about what she did?...But I did. "I'll help you find Gumwad...if you want me to" I said.

She smiled and I felt relieved she stopped crying. "Then let's go already!" She called motioning me twards her. Cake jumped in her backpack. I shut the door and I floated next to her. She looked at me and then quickly away. "Hey Marshal do you think we'll find him?" She asked. I held her hand and smiled, "We'll try."
