Elias, Finn and about fifty gifted stood at the entrance of the kingdom. Elias took a deep breath and breathed out as his breath illuminated a dark blue. It was time to put his powers to the full potential. He looked at the gifted with a stare that could intimidate a titan.

"Alright! Remember the battle plan? Each group will be divided into equal gifts. We do not want all fires in one group or anything like that. We need to balance each other out or we will be easily taken down. We will not let {Name}'s practice be in vain," Elias announced as everyone nodded. "Pull back if anyone is injured, combine with nearby groups in order to heal the injured. Each healer should be in every group. Keep your mind straight. The goal is to separate them into groups and inhibit them, not to kill, that's the only way we can truly get the message across. If we cause more death, our future generations will never learn. Ready?!" He shouted.

"Yes your majesty!"

Elias and Finn combined in a group with an Earth controller, a healer, an Air controller and a Water controller. Elias looked far into the mountain forests to see what seemed to be about a hundred witches and in the center was a spherical gold light.

{Name}. Elias thought to himself.

He felt a hand on his shoulder as he glanced to see it was Finn. Finn smiled slightly, "We are going to succeed, no matter what," He reassured Elias as Elias nodded.

"We will find {Name} and end this together. I will not let her die because of a foolish declaration of war."

"I am not going to let {Name} die on my watch."

"Let's go."

-

"Oh you poor thing. You're all alone!"

"Should've just ran away and let us just wreak havoc on your kingdom"

"Yeah, we could've just killed the gifted and you could've actually broken the prophecy for once if you just walked away!"

{Name} put her hands over hear ears as she squeezed her eyes shut. She couldn't stand the taunts the witches were throwing at her. She was originally surrounded and encased herself with the handful of elements she could control at the given moment. The witches were creating spells left and right and {Name} had to quickly counter and dodge each attack. She tried immobilizing the witches one by one with her powers such as freezing them or tying them with trees or incarcerating them with the mountain rocks. But every time she brought one down, more witches were called in. She was losing her stamina and had to temporarily flee to rest. {Name} was hiding inside a tree, with its bark wrapped around her. She needed to figure out a way to stop this and fast. The witches were going to find out where she was hiding.

Suddenly she felt the air around her become warm and suddenly the smell of smoky wood hit her. They were burning the forest. {Name} quickly phased out of the tree and saw uncontrollable flames in front of her. She had to stop this.

{Name} took a breath and then breath out deeply through her nose as she slammed her hands to the ground. A disk of air and water spread out from her as she could see the fire become immediately extinct. Her eyes began to waver as she saw the dying plants and suddenly illusions of dead bodies.

"W-why does this h-have to happen?" {Name} whispered as she could feel her voice tremble and crack. She was about the break down. The prophecy seemed to have omitted one important thing: the memories of previous wars always resurface when the Gifted One faced the calamity of their time, especially when they are unable to keep a strong psyche. {Name}'s surroundings kept switching from the present time to various scenes from previous Gifted One's experiences. She even would see blood disappear and reappear from her hands. {Name} kneeled over as she felt her chest hurt. Everything was putting a stress on her. This must be how her previous prophets must have felt, they had so much pressure and determination to stop the calamities that their body was crying out in pain. {Name} thought she would be strong enough to deal with the witches herself and not let anyone else be harmed, but now she realizes it was going to take a huge toll on her mental and physical health.

I need to protect everyone. {Name} thought to herself as she pulled herself and waved her hand over the land as plants sprouts began emerging from the ashes.

"Ah there you are you little pest!" A female voice shouted.

{Name} widened her eyes as she was slammed against the ground. The wind was knocked out of her as she gasped in pain. The ground beneath her sunk with the shear force of the attack. {Name} swallowed hard as she looked up to see a witch hovering in the air. She had the aura of an older witch, but the physique of one who used many youth spells. The witch smirked as she began muttering something under her breath.

The cacophonous sound of rocks splitting entered {Name}'s ears as she felt herself get pressed more into the ground. The rocks piercing her skin as they buckled from the force. She could not even scream as the sheer force of gravity literally took the air from her lungs once again. {Name} coughed blood as she felts one of her ribs fracture and maybe even break.

"Really? Is that all you can do?" The witch cackled. "So much for being the Gifted One. Witches! She's over here!"

The witch dropped down from the air as she muttered another incantation that removed the pressure from {Name}. The witch walked to the side of {Name} and she bent down and grabbed {Name}'s chin and grinned.

"The Gifted Ones always try to play savior. Why not just eradicate the pesky inferior species? Especially the humans and those useless gifted that only know how to control meaningless things. Don't you think that be better? Then only the strongest survive and thrive!" The witch asked.

{Name} spat blood in the witch's face, "Never," She hissed.

The witch glared at {Name} as she wiped off the blood from her face and grabbed {Name}'s head and slammed it to the ground. {Name} hissed in pain as she looked at the witch with seething eyes. Blood began trickling down her head.

"Oh what a feisty little girl. Someone needs to teach you some manners," The witch commented as a dark aura began radiating from her body and her hair began to raise up. {Name} braced herself for a wave of spells.

"GET AWAY FROM HER!" A voice screamed.

"UGaAH!" The witch screamed as she was propelled away from {Name} by what seemed like a wave of ice.

{Name} looked up to see a familiar blond figure above her.

"E-Elias?"

Elias bent down as he smiled, "It is my time to save you. Don't ever do anything by yourself again." He scolded as he gently lifted {Name} up.

"Hurry over here! Other witches that was with her might come soon! The other groups have separated the witches into smaller groups but we don't know how many this witch could've alerted since {Name} is the target," Another voice bellowed.

"Finn?" {Name} muttered as she looked to see Finn and four other people she recognized.

Finn turned to {Name} and grinned, "Don't ever try to go solo ever again."

{Name} nodded slightly as she smiled and closed her eyes for a bit.

"Angeline! Once we get to a more remote area, be prepared to begin healing {Name}. Jaque and Cecelia guard our backs. Sven and I will front. Angeline and Elias, you remain in the center," Finn ordered as everyone nodded.

"Understood!"

{Name} smiled, "Thank you everyone. Once I'm healed, I will end this."

Elias took {Name}'s hand and shook his head, "We together will end this."

LOL I totally went MIA because of college. And writer's block doesn't help much with that either. So now I am on my winter break so maybe I will finally squeeze some more parts for this story. I apologize if this is really short but it's better than nothing!
