"Fairytales are more than true; not because they tell us that dragons exist, but because they tell us that dragons can be beaten" -G.K. Chesterton
Leah loved fairytales. She loved the way they made her mind spin with ideas. She loved the way they were filled with love and struggle. Most of all, Leah loved the happy endings.
Happy endings always gave Leah hope; the feeling that no matter how difficult or impossible life may seem, eventually she would get peace.
Her mother called her silly. She would roll her eyes and scold Leah for believing in such a notion. Leah wasn't stupid, she knew that it was unrealistic for a prince to slay a dragon to save her, his damsel, and run off into the sunset.
But nonetheless, fairytales let her dream. They let her dream of somewhere, sometime, that she could just be happy without any care in the world.
Yes, Leah loved fairytales.
