Chapter 21- breakfast?

I awoke to the strike of sunlight beaming onto my face from the open window above the opposite bunk.

I groaned at how early it was as I peered over at the clock on the table over in the corner, 8:00 in the morning...

Brinley looked as if she was deep in sleep and I didn't want to disturb her, this was the first time in a while she hadn't woken me up screaming about Donte or something she had a nightmare about.

I lifted up a small corner of the covers and crawled out onto the floor, I got to my knees and crept away to the main part of the bus where I found Liam sat eating Cheerios.

"Morning" I yawned

I decided on telling the boys about Steven just in case it had anything to do with his murder or if we were in danger, I just thought it was the best thing to do. I know that Brinley would be upset with me because she trusted me but its for her own safety that they all know about it, maybe they could even help figure out what 55 was.

"You look like your thinking a lot there niall" Liam commented.

"Yeah, I need to tell you something..." I trailed off.

He just looked at me and I stayed in a trance pondering on the thought of telling him or not.

"Well?" he gestured for me to continue with what I was going to tell him.

"Well Steve, before he um quit he, he hurt Brinley" I said stuttering my words.

"He what!? is she okay?" he went into sudden panic mode and started worrying about her instantly.

"She's fine, it wasn't that bad, he only grabbed her tightly that all, but that's not the point she's okay now... but he gave her a piece of paper, all it said was 55"

"55?"

"That's it, 55" I confirmed.

"What does it mean?" he asked me.

"I have no clue..."

"Why didn't she tell us"

"He said if she did he would hurt us like donte hurt her" I informed him.

"But how did he know about donte?" Liam seemed confused.

"I don't know but he's gone now"

"Yeah I suppose, just be aware of it all if anything else happens we will go to the police" Liam suggested.

"Yeah okay" I agreed and right on que Brinley entered the room yawning with her arms stretched above her head.

"Breakfast?" Liam asked she nodded and took a seat beside me.
