A Heart Made Of Glass

A glass heart is a heart that's mine,

One tear may not be a heavy fine.

A glass heart can break by sound,

a glass heart can be broken by anything around.

Your smile cooled it down,

and your laugh made it cold.

But when you're not there,

it melts in despair.

Time to time melted drops drop right off,

and colors fade every time I cough.

Your emotions were hard to predict,

and every once in a while a storm would hit.

Your tears were rain,

and your scream were thunders pain.

Your hair was like the ocean,

smooth with ripples and rough with waves.

For when the sun rose I knew you were alive,

but when the moon rose you had even more life.

But for now I know you're with someone else,

someone who takes away those waves.

But keeps the rough,

someone who stops the rain,

but keeps he tears.

Someone who makes you laugh,

more than a hippo and a giraffe.

Someone who loves you more,

someone more than I can.

I know his name but forbidden I can say,

I know his style and soon you'll be walking down the Isle.

Remember me for who I was, and not by my name,

remember our times of blame,

and our times of fame.

So before you where that ring,

think of me,

your treasure pot golden tree,

as you were my leaves.
