Monday came around. I hadn't heard from Jimin or Hoseok since that night. Hoseok wasn't at school today so I had to do the presentation on my own. At lunch I ate in the library not wanting to see Jimin or Kirsten and maybe Hoseok would come and I could talk to him. I decided to call Namjoon and see if he could help me.
"Yeah, Hoseok's here. I can bring him there. The library right?."
"Yes. Thank you so much Joon."
"Hey, I can't just let my favorite couple split up like that." I giggled before ending the call. He truly was the best brother I could ask for.
About 15 minutes had passed before I heard the door bust open and Namjoon shove Hoseok through the door. I could see he hasn't gotten any sleep because of the dark circles under his eyes.
"If you think having your brother kidnap me is going to help anything, you are seriously crazy." I saw a faint smile on his face causing me to smile as well. Namjoon left the room leaving Hoseok and I alone. I stepped forward and his smile faded.
"Why am I here?"
"I need to talk to you."
"I told you, I need time to think." I looked to the floor.
"You also told me you're falling for me." My words made him freeze. Before he could say anything, the doors swung open. I looked up expecting to see Namjoon, but it wasn't him.
"Jimin? What are you doing here?" This was wrong. Everything was going downhill. I messed up, and this time I couldn't pick up the pieces. Jimin ignored my presence completely. He walked to Hobi and grabbed him by the collar.
"Do you see this girl?" He said pointing to me.
"She is the love of my life. I've never met a person like her and I took her for granted. I lost her because of you? I can't win her heart again because all she ever thinks about is you." Jimin looked like he wanted to punch Hoseok right then and there, but he was holding back.
"Please don't lose your chance with this girl. I did and I will regret it for the rest of my life, but you. She- she loves you. Hoseok, she fucking loves you! Please, for me, just take care of her." Jimin walked over to me and wrapped me in his arms for the last time.
"Remember that I'll always love you. That's the only reason I'm doing this. To make you happy. Something I can't do anymore. And if he ever hurts you in anyway, I better be the first person you call." I nodded my head and with that Jimin pried himself off of me and left.
I turned to Hoseok expecting him to want nothing to do with me after that. To my surprise he was already walking over to me. I stared into his eyes, getting lost in the simple brown color. Hobi smirked after a while.
"We always stare at each other and then I forget what I was going to say." I laughed at that because the same thing would happened to me.
"Y/n, he was right. You're special and I shouldn't take you for granted. I really do need you in my life. I mean it, and I promise to love you till the day I die. I promise to look at you as if I'm just meeting you and to hold you like it's the last time I'll be able to. Y/n I promise-."
"Hoseok, shut up." Hoseok's eyebrows knitted together. Before he could say anything I attached my lips on his. The kiss had set every part of my being on fire, leaving me seeing butterflies and hearing birds. I never wanted to let go of him. To think this all started with a simple project. So much had changed since then. The bell rang and Hobi was the first to break the kiss
"Let's go." He slide his fingers between mine molding them perfectly together.
5 months later:
"I'm coming Hobi chill." I reassured the boy on the other end.
"Hurry y/n. I can't wait to see you!" I giggled.
"I literally saw you this morning."
"What's your point?"
"Hobi you're an idiot. I'm on my way, just be patient." And with that, I hung up the phone.
As I walked through the campus, I couldn't help but turn my head toward the pizzeria's window. That's where Hoseok and I had went the first day we met. As I looked through the window, I saw Jimin. He was with a girl. A really pretty girl. I actually knew her. I think her name was like Mingyu or something like that. She's really smart, extremely kind hearted, and head cheerleader. He was smiling at her. A genuine smile. I had never seen him that happy. Maybe she would be Jimin's Hoseok. The very thought of Jimin being that happy with someone other than me, made my smile grow almost as wide as his. He had turned his head toward the window and looked dead in my eyes. He smiled at me and mouthed 'thank you.' I smiled and mouthed back ' keep her.' I gave him a small smile before walking away.
I had finally reached the café, where I was meeting Hoseok.
"Finally babe. I thought you would never come."
"Sorry fam." I wrapped my arms around his neck before pecking him on the lips. We walked over and sat at our normal table when we would have coffee dates like this.
"Y/n wait!" I stopped immediately.
"Hoseok what!?" He smirked at me, and I knew exactly what he was going to say.
"Oops. Thought I saw a fairy on your seat. Sorry." He sat down and I only looked at him.
"You know, I really do hate you," He laughed. I know I've said this way too much, but the smile really could kill.
"But you're cute or whatever, so I guess you get a pass."
Its hard to believe that only months before I never knew him, and now he's the reason I'm always smiling. So was he a reason to stay? No, but was he a reason to live? 100%.
