Balance

         Raziel Darhk is a very secretive "human" who does like to avoid negative confrontations when possible. Raz grew up in New Orleans next to a swamp with alligators and snakes and everything else that scares you that goes bump in the night. He often found himself having more in common with those creatures than the human beings around him. Raziel did not know his father and his mother died giving birth to him so an orphan he became. He did however have a very fortunate childhood after the tragedy of his mother's passing. A husband and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Darhk, who adopted the 3 year old could not conceive their own. They took him in and gave him the life he thought eventually he did not deserve. 

        Growing up Raziel had many friends and even more girlfriends. He was a people person who hated being around people, having conversations, talking about his day, everything seemed numb anyway. Women were drawn to him for a reason unannounced to him even though of course he did not mind. Interactions with women were the only real human interaction Raziel could stomach for longer then an hour at a time. Mr. and Mrs. Darhk always knew something was different with Raziel when he could hold full sentence conversations at the age of 3 about common children's literature. But they never thought anything other than Raz was just really smart and catches on quickly. 

        Raziel graduated top of his class in high school at the age of 16 and college at the age of 23 gaining his first Masters in theoretical physics, psychology, and literature. Although he still became a cop and does not use anything of the knowledge other than to contemplate the difference in a dumbass and a stupid dumbass while on the job. Raziel has this twisted brutally honest sense of humor that makes most blush and laugh all at once. No filter between his brain and his mouth ever existed. Raziel would never disrespect a woman nor anyone else always saying "Yes Ma'am" and "No Ma'am", and holding the door open for someone. But there is a darkness inside him that he isn't even sure about.

         Raziel played along with the emotions a man his age, which is 24, should express in any certain situation since Raz technically can not feel emotions. At least not the emotions everyone else he knew did like heartache, regret, shame, greed, etc. Raziel just loved every moment on Earth, numbly loving everyone and everything. Raziel was about to find out exactly what this would do to his life. So Raziel woke up, got ready for work, kissed the kids and wife, went to the usual store he goes to and walks through the door. Raz sees the most beautiful girl with hair half across her face, big brown eyes shining from behind the hair, and smiling the most beautiful smile. Raziel's life is about to change drastically and on fire.
